It was quite hot in the bedroom overnight but there was a fan for us in the bedroom, really nice of them as it helped cooling down

The hostel was extremely clean! And you get your own bedroom with a very comfortable bed. The are is really quiet so very good sleep as well. Just a few minutes walk from bars and 10minutes to the centre. I highly recommended it

The shower/WC was not separate in our room, which we did not notice before (it was not very clear from the descriptions). But in the end this was no problem.

The bed was comfortable. We could leave our bags in storage as a special favor from the host. We could check out early. Everything was clean! The location is close to the center.

The only negative feedback is on the beds. They could be more comfortable. Some people might have issues with the animals around the hostel. The cat and the dog (Zeus) are well behaved and even playful, but might be good to mention animal presence on the website.

This hostel is located in the eastern part of Funchal, 5 minutes walk from the center and 15 min walk from the "old town". Unlike the western part of Funchal this par this par is less touristic (no large hotels) which is also positive from the price perspective (restaurants, bars) the, downside is that the nicer and more organized (also payed) beaches are a bit further away, ca 1h walk, so it's better to take a bus if you do not like walking. Regarding the hostel: personnel is very nice and helpful. The hostel is incredibly clean, and it's expected that all guests maintain this. I did not have an issue with this, some less organized people might. It has a cozy terrace for chilling out and a kitchen where you can prepare some meals. They rent cars and scooters under reasonable conditions. However, we did not take this option because we already booked a car elsewhere. Also important: this is not a hostel for partying. It's a quiet atmosphere, I recommend it for couples or single travelers who aren't seeking exuberant nightlife. Great value for price.

Very nice and spacious room, shared bathroom was also okay. Kitchen very well-equipped. It's also possible to wash your clothes for 5 euros. The personal was superkind, location is very good - close to the center and not so steep :-).

You could hear when somebody in the house would close a door, the sound being like they were slamming it even if they didn't. Maybe a rubber on the door or something to seal the sound would be a good improvement. Anyway, price - quality ratio was great.

Cleaning was done every day in shared spaces, kitchen and bathroom well equipped, nice yard with smoker and non-smokers area, rent a scooter directly from property, close to center but quite neighborhood. Bus station near the house, but we never needed since it was @ ~10 min walk from city center

the only thing, it was a little bit noisy. the door on the room are not very sound proof so you hear everything what’s going on out there. but people usually behave with respect and everyone was quiet after 22:00 more or less.

the location is perfect! just 10 min walk to the city center. very clean place, nice and well equipped kitchen. we also had a car and there was always a place to park on the street somewhere around the hostel. i’ll be staying here definitely for my next trip to Madeira. perfect value for the money!!! highly recommended!

Rent of scooters just in front of our window, it means not so quiet.

Clean, good kitchen, comfortable beds. Spacious room with everything you need. Near to everything - centre of town.. We would recommend to anyone especially if you want to have a great place to take rest after active days.

Good location nearby Funchal city center (10-15min walk). The check-in was easy and the staff very nice and helpful. The bedroom was well sized, clean and with a lot of storing area. The shared bathroom was clean and had all needed facilities. Very good cost-value option to stay in Funchal

The bedlinen was a bit strange and I had a sweaty feeling. There is no heating and since I was staying during record low temperatures (+10C), it was cold in all rooms. Sound isolation of rooms should be better.

Good location, not too much uphill, well equiped kitchen. Helpful staff, nicely decorated, reasonably priced. There are common areas where to hang out.
