The best hotel we have stayed in EVER. Beautiful public areas and lovely room and bathroom. The spa and pool were immaculate and perfect. The staff were very friendly and always helpful.

Perfect location, close by all shops and cafes and restaurants. The staff is amazing, very friendly and welcoming. The sightseeing bus stops right in front of the hotel. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

Luxury furnishings, turn down service, greeted with refreshments in room, accommodating staff.

Such a beautiful and spacious hotel. It was exceptional and the price for this luxury was very reasonable. Breakfast was delicious and a beautiful array of foods. Dinner in restaurant was excellent. Front desk staff were terrific. Rua, ;uggage man, so helpful and friendly. Hope I can return to this great place.

The staff at the hotel were all very helpful and very pleasant. The breakfast was exceptionally good. The hotel was conveniently placed for the tourist sites. The spa was clean and adequate for our requirements. The only slight criticism we would make is that the bedroom and bathroom could do with more door hooks to hang towels / heavy long coats, but that is just a small comment.

I expected the service to be a bit smoother given the 5 stars. The staff were always very pleasant but not quite on their A game - e.g., it took 15/20 mins every morning to get a tea or coffee at breakfast, by which time we'd usually finished eating. The cleaning staff put chocolates on the bed each day but it would be haphazard whether they were both on one pillow, one each or at the foot of the bed. Overall, we still had a very pleasant stay but these little touches would elevate it even further.

The hotel decor was beautiful and the room large and comfortable. The bed was great. The spa facilities were lovely and just as pictured. Swimming between the indoors and outdoors was nice and novel! The location was convenient for all the main attractions in both Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia yet lovely and quiet. We never noticed any road noise. View from the room was very cool.

Superb staff; genuinely friendly and very helpful; true Portuguese hospitality; excellent room with a very good bed and stylish furnishings; breakfast was excellent and very well run by a very competent and friendly team.

Restaurant was very crowded at breakfast which spoilt the day. In mitigation there were a high number of football fans who tended to linger at length over the breakfast table. However, the bar, restaurant and lounge were all situated in a rather small open plan area which seemed inadequate to us. There were a number of small problems in the room which we thought were due to the recent opening and were easily corrected when needed.

Newly opened hotel close to transport links and boutique shopping areas. Impressive and luxurious fixtures and fittings; Super comfortable beds! Excellent airconditioning - quiet and not intrusive. Reception and staff eager to please. Fine breakfast selection. We did not try the Spa or the swimming pool/garden, although both looked attractive, if small. Overall a good experience. Staff were all excellent.

Check-in was later and check out earlier than I would have liked, although we could leave our luggage safely. Be prepared for the hills to and from the hotel and the uneven cobbles - you can't avoid this anywhere in Porto.

A fantastic hotel. The bed was extremely comfy and very large. The spa facilities were great especially the pool being both inside and outside. The breakfast selection was varied and tasty. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

Amazing, helpful staff and wonderful location in Porto. Not too close to the tourist traps but still walking distance to everything. This is a new hotel so everything is very updated and nice. Staff are SO helpful and kind. We felt so welcome here and they were very understanding when we had a mixup with our reservation. I wish we could have stayed longer!

My daughter and I arrived separately and we were a little surprised at the welcome. Thankfully during our stay the customer interaction improved. Although we were able to control the heating in the bedroom, we were a little cold during the nights. Unfortunately, some of our spa treatments were changed by the hotel a couple of weeks before our stay and a few days before our trip some were cancelled altogether. Our experience was that the communication and booking between the reception and the spa were problematic and uncoordinated (maybe because of the many changes of staff on reception). It must be noted that there is only one treatment room in the spa so if one wanted a ‘couples massage’ or more varied treatments, this is simply not possible. With all that said, it is important to remember that this is a new hotel and most of the problems we suspected were down to ‘teething issues’ (settling in). When I raised an issue with the hotel, their approach to repair and resolve a problem was immediate and apologetic.

The hotel is comfortable and beautiful. Design and quality of fittings and art well judged. The bed/ bedding, shower room/ showers and toiletries were lovely. The welcome from the staff in the dining room and spa was very warm. The breakfasts were delightful and a huge buffet style displayed for all the guests which was offered between 7am until 11am- this is very generous compared to other hotels. From the spa treatments that were available, the staff here were kind and exceptional. From the treatments we had, we felt very pampered and relieved of the stresses from the outside world. It was really nice to experience a decent hamaam/ Turkish bath (steam room), a sauna, one heated in/ outdoor pool and beautiful changing rooms. At the reception, I was given very clear advice and detailed information by Fabio about the history and areas of interest in Porto which was incredibly valuable. With this, we had a great day, thank you. What we will take home with us from Porto is the heart of the Portuguese people. The kindness and warmth we feel when we travel to Portugal is the most prominent thing.

Breakfast was lovely, though as they are a new venue, they haven't sorted an al a carte breakfast menu yet. When asked if they could do eggs benedict they kindly obliged :)
