Other guests were really loud both at night and in the morning, every noise is amplified by the corridor.

The room was clean and we could use the private parking. The pool area was relaxing.

The road noise can be controlled by closing the balcony door. But in summer, I imagine it might not very peaceful relaxing by the poolside.

The shower was a little small and we are quite slim people, however for the price this was not an issue.

as we had a very late flight from FAO that night we used this hotel only as a Day/Evening room due to its value and position within 15mins drive of the airport - It worked perfectly! the hotel was quiet, clean and although an old hotel it had what looked like new A/C and had had some bit of the room updated. it was perfectly functionable for our needs, however note we did not sleep the night. The staff on check in were very friendly and the little pool looked nice.

The small kitchen supplies only continental breakfast - beyond that there are a couple of standard vending machines with tea, coffee, fizzy drinks, sweets and water which is fine, but they could make a bit of money, and help guests who just want to stay in and have a light snack instead of going out for lunch/dinner, by having even some out-sourced rolls/pies etc., available for sale, although of course there is always Uber Eats.

Picked this as a last minute stopover on bike tour, as all seafront places were too expensive at short notice. A nice guesthouse, and I really enjoyed the swimming pool. Bed was comfortable, room was clean, WiFi decent. Shopping mall is a 20 minute walk away.

Really nice staff let us enter the room over an hour early and ley us use what seemed to be the family garage so not for clients but they let us anyway and the pool was a touch 10/10

A continental breakfast with bread and croissants is an extra (nightly rates are quite low), but some guests might miss a cooked breakfast. Some areas are partially unfinished.

Our stay at Golda Sol was great, we enjoyed the friendly, welcoming staff and the quietness of other guests. The rooms are basic but clean and have AC. The swimming pool is large and well maintained, surrounded by beautiful scenery and a lovely garden. There’s plentiful parking around the hotel.

I appreciate that supply and demand drive prices but this is the worse value hotel room I have rented for many years. 50€ would have been OK, not over 100€. The outside was grubby (cigarette butts, weeds and piles of bird faeces on the steps from the car park). It was disgusting and should be power-hosed clean. The handrail on the steps was also dangerously loose. Our triple room was more like a double but they had stuffed in a single bed, so it was very cramped. The towels were ancient and almost as thin as tissue paper. Many fixtures/fittings were very old and damaged: laminate peeling from furniture, broken or missing light bulbs, toilet seat damaged so not attached properly/loose etc. It was a disgrace for the amount they charged. I felt I had been well and truly conned. I will not return and suggest others think twice before booking unless the prices are incredibly low.

Lovely view of Faro and the sea. The staff were relatively friendly. There was plenty of space to park and it was free. However, it needed to be free given the price of the room.
