Everything was perfect!

We had a fabulous stay at Goldnature. The owners, Noberto and Paula created 5star accommodation in Gondomar. From the moment we arrived until we left, everything was 100% perfect! You could not ask for better accommodation and for better hosts! We will definitely stay at Goldnature again.

The hotel and atmosphere was brilliant, and the host, Norberto, really made us feel at home - very friendly. The breakfast was also really good, with most of it grown at the hotel itself. It's a great hotel if you want a relaxing getaway. I would highly recommend staying here.

A beautiful property with one of the nicest hosts we have encountered on our travels. The room is lovely, parking is secure & easy. The host gave us perfect simple directions to drive to & park in Porto. This is a special place to return to after a day in the city (easy to find at night). Breakfast was delicious- not a buffet, but cooked just for us with eggs, meat & cheese, fresh fruit & breads. Highly recommend this property!

A great place to relax. Very tasty breakfast served individually in the beautiful dining room. Beautiful and very cozy territory of the hotel, where you can sit with a glass of wine. Swimming pool where my son loved to swim. Clean and pleasant rooms. Very friendly staff. My best recommendation.

Everything!!! Everything is meticulous. Norberto and Paula thought of every detail, from the design, to comfort, beauty and pleasure. Excellent breakfast, well-kept and beautiful complex. The location is excellent, close to Porto but outside Belagan. We are just thinking when we can come back again

The only disappointment was Gondomar itself - which is a bit of a backwater and lacking in good restaurants. However, this doesn’t matter too much as the city is easy to get into.

Wonderful oasis outside historic Porto. Perfect place to escape the city heat and noise, whilst having easy access. Noberto and Paula are perfect hosts and Goldnature has been created with extraordinary style and attention to detail.

Breakfast was too French to my taste, as we don’t eat fruits and pastry for breakfast back home. But otherwise it was good. Luckily, you can ask for vegetables (from their own garden).

This was the best place we could find around Porto. It has a large yard, and it is clean and quiet. I especially appreciated that Norberto, the manager, found us a place to have a good dinner even when the place was usually closed when we arrived.

Having to leave!

If I could rate this property higher than a 10, I would. The owners, Norberto and Gerel, are absolutely fabulous! They have built this property with such care and consideration with a vision of offering a restful retreat for any traveler and they have exceeded that goal. The grounds, agriculture and buildings have all been designed with great attention to building a soothing aesthetic. You could visit here on vacation and never want to leave -- that's what happened to us. Parking and breakfast are included with the stay. The breakfast is very, very plentiful and wonderful -- pastries, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, cold cuts, fresh orange juice, and the coffee was the best we had in Portugal. We only wish they served other meals as well! The hosts are welcoming, warm and feel like long-time friends by the end of the stay. Our visit here was pure perfection!

Staying here meant relaxing after busy days sightseeing in Porto - All of the staff were really accommodating the bed was very comfortable and as for the breakfast: wow! Negatives? Well, the breakfast was so big and delicious and so well prepared with care and attention that we felt we had to eat all of it... so on top of the restaurant recommendations, we may not eat again for the next week now we are home. :) The weather forecast for our trip was surprisingly gloomy for June and the day we arrived it rained a bit. But we mentioned this to Norberto and he must have arranged something asthe other days were hot and sunny, so I have come back slightly red in places... but those are the only slightly negatives... Ok, seriously, the room is well-designed and has AC, but we left the door open at times to let fresh air in.

When planning a long weekend in Porto, I gave my wife 3 options: a 5* place in the centre, a quirky/cool option in the city or a nice looking place outside of town, but still close. Fortunately she picked the slightly out of town option - Goldnature as we had anexcellent stay there. The place is nicely done, with thought and attention, it was clean, had everything we needed and was well looked after. We didn't use the pool, but that looked good too. The location is nice, a short drive from the centre (7-8 euro by Uber and easy by car). But the thing that made it so great was the host, Norberto. He is a lovely guy who really cares about his guests. We arrived quite late, direct from the airport and he recommended a local restaurant and booked us a table - it was excellent. Then he helped us plan our visit to Porto and suggested some great things. Then suggested a nice fresh fish area for that evening. And the best thing was arranging for his friend - Helder - to guide us around the vineyards of the Duoro Valley - a highlight of any trip to Porto. We had the best day, came back tipsy and happy. Everything about the trip was great.

Everything was perfect

It’s an mazing place close to Porto! 15 minutes ago you were in the city center, and now you are surrounded by beautiful nature, flowering trees, ripe oranges and cottage beauty! With an amazing pool. The owners - Norbert and his wife Paola - are beyond praise. Everything is done and maintained with taste, love and warmth. excellent cleanliness and service! And breakfast!!! Restaurant serving, delicious homemade pastry…everything healthy, local and organic.

The couple who manages the place are so cool and friendly! They were very helpful with the check-in (I arrived a bit late in the evening), and they both took the time to chat a bit with me (solo traveling), while being mindful not to be in the way. The place is beautiful, peaceful and quiet. I definitely plan to revisit.

The owners of this small place are beyond great, working at a five star level of service. I rarely leave reviews but this place was well worth our stay. We had initially booked at a different property but that place smelled. We booked this at the last minute, arrived an hour later to be treated like welcome old friends. The couple that owns and runs this place have done an excellent job of developing a spa like experience. Light pleasing music playing in courtyard, constant running water spout to give reading feeling. Set in an old farm house but with very high quality modern touches. The owner is a designer and has put in hard work to blend the old and new. The breakfast made fresh with farm fresh fruit and eggs was excellent, better than what I have had at Ritz Carlton in Florida. Great coffee, bread, cheeses, fruits, home made kiwi ham. Etc. Location is peaceful and relaxing, only 15 minutes to Porto, one KM to a river walk. Only stated two days but wish we had more time there. The room was spotless clean, bed very comfortable and great pillows. Easy parking. Nice garden and pool (did not have time to use pool) Will be recommending this to all my friends. The couple spent some time talking with the concept of this place and what they were trying to achieve. They have done well and wish them all the success fo this business!!!

We could not fault it.

The owners were fantastic, so accommodating and pleasant. They truly cared about the guests. Grounds were beautiful and super well maintained. Breakfast was exceptional, super fresh and great variety with a high quality. Be sure to check out the little common room and bar. Norberto makes a mean gin and tonic 😉. Would recommend and stay again without hesitation.
