The beds are rather hard and the shower is quite small. The rooms are quite noisy as well.

There was a lot of noise from the road outside. Windows had minimal noise isolation. No fan/ac in the peak of summer, I didn’t have a good sleep.

It's very difficult for them to give boiling water for hot coffee/tea. He said to use the hot water in the faucet to make coffee🤔🙄 The manager is unpleasant even if I ask him nicely.

Common space Cons: Check in was quick however after the man at the counter asked for our identification (before he took our ID) he quickly stepped into our room, which was next to reception, and he started cleaning the toilet and wiping the room down. He said the new cleaning person didn't finish cleaning yet which was understandable. After this sudden clean we asked the man to please wash his hands before he handled our ID cards. The man started to behave slightly irrational and unprofessional and still did not wash his hands after he had cleaned the bathroom etc. I don't understand why you would stop mid-process during an ID check to clean a bathroom and not wash your hands however that is what reception did during our check-in. Bathroom Cons: The hot water does not work in the sink and the tap will not even move mechanically into the hot position. The hot water does not work in the shower unless you let it run for over 5 minutes. Shower pan does not drain properly therefore you will stand in uncomfortable filthy water as you shower. There is only one roll of toilet paper in the toilet. No putting toilet paper in the toilet and only a micro rubbish bin too small for anything. When using toilet the sink is touching you and in your face due to the cramped quarters. The sink basin is small and difficult to fit your hands to use. Room Cons: No power points for charging in any reachable decent area in the room. Having no power points is unacceptable in accommodation such as this; especially in private rooms such as the one we booked. There was a desk and chair with no power point for your devices. No power points located anywhere near the bed area. The obscure placed power point which did exist was located behind the entrance door in an illogical use area. It was a power point deal breaker if you need to charge your phones or devices. The television does not power on. No air-conditioning. No rubbish bin in the room. Overall: The city location is great.

Common space Pros: No common space available. Bathroom Pros: The shower is separate from the toilet room. Room Pros: The room gets pretty dark but not complete blackout and you are able to sleep well.

- No drinking water available at all (or at least we were not told about it) - Old TV barely working - Shower in bad condition and no surfaces to allocate toiletries - Not enough power sockets to charge phones - Only one window with poor air circulation in the room. Also no fan available during the night. You had to choose between not being hot during the night or waking up at 5 am with the sunshine if you leave the window/shades open to circulate the air. - We were asked to leave towels on the floor if we wanted them to be replaced. We tried once and when we came back at night the towel was still on the floor.

- Good Location from metro (5-10 minutes walk from the hotel). - Plenty of places to eat close to the hotel. We had amazing breakfasts at "Pao fofo" (1 minute walk) - Very friendly staff. Owner landed us a few metro cards and gave us a few tips about where to eat. Very helpful and nice owner. - Good price

I just needed to overnight there due to a late-night flight, and I found everything as per my expectations, the room, the bathroom and, ofcourse, the location. What exceeded my expectations was the outstanding gentleman at the reception desk. I forgot to ask his name, but he is an elderly person and wonderful to communicate with.

Very dirty and ugly. Walls and chair - black of dirt. No any glass or cup. No possibility to use any kettle or kitchen. Warm water only in the shower, no in the sink. Water doesn't drift away from the shower. Old building. Only one electrical outlet in the room - only for a heater, where to charge 2 mobiles, tablet, powerbank? In the bathroom big stains of silicon, black of dirt.

It is a simple accomodation. Nothing fancy but the location is great. Very close to metro and walkable distance to pedestrian area. You cannot possibly expect more for this price. I recommend it to people who don't expect luxury. A big bnous was that they have 24h reception.

Rooms are good, having heater and Wifi. Person on reception is so awesome and helpful. Location is also good. Everything is around 2 km of walking distance.. My suggestion is that have a room in Porto then Estrela is best option.

It was very difficult to breathe in the room because there was no window. It was too dark. There wasn't even a light on the ceiling. It also had a low ceiling. His TV was from the 1990s and was not working. There were no sockets near the bed.
