There is a big space downstair for around 20-30 people - very crowded Only 2 bathrooms - in peak season it can be difficult to get it (I was there in low season one day I needed to wait 1 hour to take a shower)

Close to the beach and to the railway station I am happy to get it booked for the room of 4 people instead of the big room/space, worth it .. It has a small pool Daily cleaning Flexibility with the check in and check out Shared area Locker

The hostel had poor noise regulation policies. You would often find other guests and sometimes members of staff making a lot of noise after late hours. Another thing I found disconcerting was the constant presence of feces in the toilet.

Did not receive the hostel that I requested and got put in the different hostel and to pay for extra taxi to get me in different hostel with a small bedroom in parede hostel without all the facilities that I requested

Little upset as I paid to be at hostel in carcavelos with private bathroom and balcony and got put in parede hostel that was different as I requested with nothing that I paid and requested with my booking with insuit bathroom that I did not have balcony and all the rest just was a small bathroom with charging bathroom in a building in parede

There's no desk and chair to work from except to go to the kitchen and use the dinning take. And mostly guests are always cooking and chatting in the kitchen.

Location. Close to the train station however, that is also a bad thing for some people because you will always hear the train come and go.

The cleanliness was not great at all. There was also no hand soap in the bathrooms, and also one bathroom for around 30 people to share! There wasn't a lot of space for privacy for changing and things when their was only two bathrooms for everyone. People would also smoke on the patio right outside the room, with the door open, so that was not pleasant to fall asleep to!

Most of the staff was kind. It was also in a great location to walk to the beach- not too far!

Loud environment with the nearby railway, lot of passing through the dorm to access bathroom and staff room lade it challenging to have a quite environment to sleep. The mattress wasn't so comfy.

Noisy roommates. Noisy train every few minutes. You can hear the noise from the kitchen and living room from the top floor. Only 3 toilets for the whole house and 2 of them are inside bedrooms.

This place is not a hostel. It feels like housing for recently released criminals or a refugee center. There were no tourists or visitors, just angry young men. It was next to the train tracks, the area was dodgy.

The hostel staff is absolutely awful and very abusive everybody in the hostel complains about the poor treatment of the staff. I was told i could not enter the hostel at 11:30 and given no option or reason. I asked for a refund and then they said they were calling the police. After the manager told me just a couple of days before that i could stay at the hostel buyer beware! Maybe the staff wont immediately make your life a living hell but dont get on their bad side or they will show their true colors and be extremely rude, mean, and inconsiderate.

The employee at the front desk was unfriendly, unprofessional, and unwilling to help. He didn’t speak English but that was not an issue because we used a translator, the issue was that he acted as if he didn’t want to understand or help with the questions that I had or the issues with the room. He never gave me a code to enter the hostel (I didn’t know we needed one as I had the keys), when the air conditioning malfunctioned (could not turn off) he said there was nothing he could do and I had to find the plug to plug it out, and he was constantly on his phone. It’s a pity, because the place is really nice and clean and the rooms are a bit old but in a good condition. They need more friendly and motivated people working in the front desk to make the experience even better.

The location was nice, and the room clean. Even though I stayed during the weekend so people socialised a lot in the hostel, there was no noise or disturbances for the rest of the guests.
