There is no heating in the hotel (aircon is used which is not that efficient) it was a bit cold

Close to Porto, only a few minutes of scenic drive along the coast. Staff is nice.. Very good breakfast for a good price. Several nice fish and normal restaurants in a short walk

Great location just outside of Porto. Metro is located outside the hotel a few 100 yards. Takes you right into city.

Room was damp and smelt of It in the wardrobe Fridge wasn't great - used for water and barely kept things cold Receptionist on arrival was very rude - rest of the staff were very nice

Location was perfect for walking around and seeing Matoshinos. Room was clean and had maid service daily Room was basic but we paid for economy

The room was a little small but fine as a base. The only critism is that there weren't enough selectricity sockets. i.e there was only one to share between fridge, desk light and kettle. A small extension lead would have been very worthwhile.

Reasonably priced, clean and central in Matosinhos, near great seafood restaurants. 5 minutes from the beach. Also near 5 mins from the fish market, inc two very good restaurants. Plenty of communal areas in the hotel and a small library/play area. Great flowing staircase.

Industrial food items at breakfast, like cakes and cookies.

Location was perfect. Breakfast was okay. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff at the reception desk was nice and helpful.

The lightning of the room was not that good. Only one really bright spot in the ceiling, and another lamp with really low light. Nothing in between.

The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and spacious and the shower was really nice. The breakfast was ok with a lot of variety.

The lift broke down towards the end of our stay. Difficult for us because my partner has vertigo and isn't confident on staircases, especially the beautiful architectural sweeping stairs in the Porto Mar. I know these things happen, but it limited the last couple of days for us there.

We had a nice room with a balcony, fridge and full bathroom.

No complainng at all. Everything can be pre-solved or solved with kind help of stuff. Common room is cosy, but small. But you can order a bigger/better one and those are spacious nad cosy! We had problem with air-condition in first days. But then we got another room where everything was just perfect!

I love the spirit of an old-fashioned well-renovated building. 40's hotel with elegant architecture, aircondition, no humidity, no smell. Very classy. Extremly nice stuff, smiling, open to help you. Enough space in lobby and a breakfast hall (and breakfast is rich!). Very easy to acces with Metro do Porto. And I love neigbourhood of Mathosinos. I was in this hotel for the second time and I 'd choose it again :)

During the Porto Dog Show there are many dogs in the hotel. More frequent cleaning of the public areas is necessary.

Nice rooms and bathrooms. Good location. 24h reception.
