It is actually impossible to resign from the cleaning service so even if you want to stay in bed with a migraine,, you’d still be bothered by the staff, also it was very cold inside, heating with the AC didn’t help and was loud

Booked specifically as it said it had a bar and coffee shop but neither open. Asked Reception and told bar person was ill but previous reviews in February and March say the same. Would prefer accurate listing of facilities available when booking.

Great location near to the waterfront cafes, restaurants and ferries. Good breakfast.

Nothing really, would happily stay there again! One thing to note, which is not the hotel's fault is that every so often you might hear motorcycle noise. But overall the windows were pretty good in reducing street noise. Ear plugs might be helpful if you need to have total silence at night.

There are so many hotels in Porto and we couldn't decide where to stay. But I'm so glad we picked ICON. It's close to the riverfront yet away from crowds and street noise. It's maybe an 8 minute walk from the Sao Bento train station (depending on whether you're walking up or down the hill and whether you have luggage). We stayed in a Custom room and appreciated the modern decor. I loved the scents of the bathroom amenities. Breakfast was lovely, with hot food options that you don't typically get with hotel breakfasts.

As it was pre summer, the room air conditioning was not operating.. opening the window cooled the room but also allowed noise to enter.

Beautiful property with caring staff and very good service. Breakfast was outstanding. The decoration of the room and public areas was great. Everything interesting about Porto is nearby.

There was not much going on in the evening, so basically you had to go out for a drink or to eat. The tv in the room didn’t have much worth watching and did not connect to the internet. But these are minor things.

We really loved staying at the hotel. Clean, comfy rooms, clean bathroom, loved the decor, great location, polite and very helpfull staff, great food selection at breakfast and it was all very tasty. We liked everything about the hotel.

The hotel is perfectly located. You are able to walk to the shops, see a Fado show across the street, walk down to the river and have a wonderful selection of restaurants on the street or within walking distance. My travel companion and I walked to everything even the Sao Bento train station which is about 7 minutes away. My room was modern industrial. There was ample light, nice local products in the bathroom, a nice thoughtful selection of grooming items as well in the bathroom and a comfortable bed. I also loved the branded towels. Housekeeping always left my room organized and clean. There were also treats left and water. Even though my room faced the street, it was not noisy and I was able to sleep well each night. There wasn't a lot of variety on the television, but I was able to find a few English speaking shows and even old episodes of Dallas, which was a treat. The breakfast buffet had a wonderful variety of fruits, meats, pastries, and juices. I tried something new each morning. The staff in the restaurant was always welcoming. Check in was organized and we were given a short information session about breakfast times and how to access our rooms. The hotel always smelled lovely each time we entered. Even though the hotel is located in the middle of a hilly street, it was manageable. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again the next time I visit Porto.
