The hostel is located near the center. The shared bathroom is a shared bathroom within your room which I prefer over a large shared bathroom. Also an airconditioned room is great.

Considering that the breakfast is not included, the room very small and very essential and no daily cleaning, the price was quite in the high end. But maybe the location, the increasing turism on the island and high request contribute to that.

Highly recommend staying here. We stayed in a private room and it was beautiful, clean and spacious and also, very quiet at night so we slept peacefully! Great, central location on a quiet street. Also the breakfast was incredible. The best we had in Madeira and one of the best we've had anywhere!! We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Madeira! The staff were super friendly and helpful too. Thanks Jaca Hostel team for taking such good care of us!

Lovely little hostel in the centre of Funchal. We were only there for one night but felt the ace had a really nice vibe and the staff were very friendly. The patio was a very relaxing place to sit back at the end of the day. The room was clean and modern and comfortable. Thanks

The facilities are a bit narrow (kitchen, bathroom in the dorm) You can live your luggage only during the opening time of the Cafe (till 17.30)

Each dorm bed is equipped with a curtain which gives you a bit of privacy. The place is clean and cozy. You have an exterior terrace where you can eat or just chill. Automatic check-in is nice as well

The lockers were small and there was no small night drawer to lay things next to the bed. There were insects in my bed, probably because in front of the window. There is no inside common area after 5 pm, only the garden.

We had twin room with private bathroom. The room is well organized and bigger than expected. Everything was very clean. We got two towels each and earplugs. The part of the hostel is a beautiful, bright and colorful cafe where you can order breakfast or just have a coffee. It comes with a courtyard sitting too. :)

As I wasn't able to ate breakfast (due to my travel plans) stuff promised me that I will got refund via Booking. Unfortunately, I didn't get any refund and there is no contact with hostel (they do not answear to my messages).I would not have been disappointed if not a promise I got from stuff that I would receive a refund.

Nice location, close to city centre, restaurants etc. Super friendly stuff. Avaialable space for work, hanging out with people, nice atmosphere. Rooms were clean, bathroom was OK, hairdryer available. There is a kitchen where you can prepare your own meal if you would like (with fridge, microwave).

The hostel is great! Amazing staff, trust and non problematic atmosphere. The smoothest check in. I met there fanatic people, that straight away became my family. I got a single bed in mixed dorm that was super comfy and i have enough privacy.

Great place with a soul in the center of Funchal! Well equipped and clean room/shared kitchen, delicious breakfast prepared by the stuff will make you fell like home. Highly recommended, I will be back for sure 😊

It's my second time I stayed here, but not last. The place is so nice, the room needs some repair of walls, but still was good. They have a very delicious breakfast in the cafe, I really love it. The team of the hostel is super friendly. As for me, it's the best place to stay in Funchal.

I liked that, but if you don't like noisy floor, be ready for that :) You can hear your neighbors walking.

It was such a nice place to stay! As a hotel manager, I can highly recommend it. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Everything is nice decorated. The location is good, close to everything. Breakfast is so cute and delicious. Staff is awesome. Definitely, I'll be back more and more.

The self check-in apps is good, but we arrived 1hour early ( 14h ) and couldn't enter the hostel because the code only work at 15h. We had to wait on the sidewalk because there was no employee. We also wanna ask about a transport to the airport but saw no employee all day long.

I lacked a small reading lamp by the bed. The AC seemed to be not effective ( or maybe broken as it blew the same warm air regardless the set up for 18 degrees).

The only thing was that there were these very tiny ants you can barely see how small they are, that I believe were coming in through the balcony and biting the wood leaving a little dust. It was not like an infestation, and I still felt “clean” in the room! The housekeeping swept them away, but I guess that’s my only “complaint”.

Good location, very kind staff, very helpful with any local recommendations to avoid tourist traps. I stayed in the single room with my own bathroom, and it was fabulous. I met several people in the common areas!
