Wooden floors in lobby and breakfast room were broken and buckled so much with waves up to 3-4 centimeters that they were dangerous. Staff did in no way warn customers. Rugs in the rooms and halls were filthy with stains and were also buckled the could trip anyone. Bathrooms were very narrow , only one person could be in them at a time. NOT a 4-Star Hotel. Breakfast staff were inattentive, talking to each other or absent most of the time. Front desk did not provide good answers to questions. “Where is a good Portuguese restaurant?” “The main road to there you will find lots of places to eat.”

Most useless hotel that i have ever stayed in, I was charged such a price and not have a decent breakfast, no coffee station in room, no box of tissues, tiny and claustrophobic rooms, no restaurant or cafe in the hotel. This was the worst experience i have ever had!

Only plus point was the hotel had hot water running.

Old and dirty carpets in the room and the corridors, black mould on the sealant in the bathroom. The bathroom was tiny and cramped. After the first cleaning day, we were left entirely without toilet paper and had to ask for it at the reception. There were no USB charging slots in the room or in the lobby. Overall, the management seems not to spend much money on maintenance as the rooms and corridors make a very old and worn-out impression. The hotel is obviously spoiled by its good location is often fully booked despite these issues. Definitely not a great value for money, and not a 4 stars standard as we know it.

The corridors leading to the rooms in this hotel look very run down. The rooms need huge renovation. Got a room with a view to a some kind of backyard wall. Although the room I got was kind of clean (not mentioning the great amount of stains on the carpets) the facilities overall do not look good. Definitely not a 4star hotel level. Huge disappointment.

Nothing, all was great!

Excellent location with trams and buses very near, but not metro. Opposite world heritage site, botanic gardens and other sights of interest. World famous Belem pastries around the corner and local restaurants. Superb breakfast and extremely quiet. Friendly staff with perfect English. Nearby convenience store also.

Room needs a renovation. Old and dirty furniture. There was no view in the attic. Unfortunately the window was completely covered. A curtain should definitely be installed here so that the room appears brighter overall.

The only unpleasant things are minimal and mentioned by most people already as I’ve seen, which are the carpet floors in the rooms, the Wi-Fi is complicated to access and doesn’t really work, when it does it’s very slow, and there’re no plugs by the bed.

Big rooms with big comfy beds. Very nice location, right next to the monastery which is really cool to see on the doorstep as you’re leaving. Really good breakfast with free pastéis de Belém that you would generally have to queue up for hours to get at the shop. Pleasant and attentive staff. All around one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in!

There was no bar or restaurant and no water in my room, the carpets were grubby possibly due to a prevous flood, making me feel like it was unclean although is was clean

There's mold in the shower. Lots of stains in the carpet. The mattress was bad, uncomfortable. Lift had coffee on the floor since we arrived till we checked out. Bed sheets covers were thin and low quality. Ac just worked with hot air what made us sleep with an open window. Fire information in the room has written hotel torre when the name is Jerónimos 8. Staff isn't prepared to speak English. At breakfast and reception. In the reception, they talk to you without looking into your eyes or really making you feel welcome.
