Clean and modern villa in a very beautiful place. Pedro is a very welcoming host. We enjoyed breakfast baskets with local bread very much. Friendly cat and dog made a great company to our child, he was very happy.

I liked every detail of this stay

This place was dreamy and definitely one of the best places I’ve ever had the change to stay. The surroundings were amazingly beautiful, the house was huge, newly renovated and well decorated. We were in winter and with temperatures around 6C during the night, the cozy fireplace kept the whole place very warm. I sadly got sick during my stay and couldn’t enjoy our 3 night stay as well but the host Pedro was so helpful and offered his help for things such as bringing me medicine from the city more then once. Honestly I couldn’t ask for better host, he was more than helpful the whole time and you could just feel how much he cares for people’s well beings. Besides all that the breakfast is worth mentioning as it was incredibly fresh and delicious with most local and homemade items.

The only thing that was lacking was that the internet connection was not strong in the bedrooms. Everything else was ideal.

Pedro made us feel welcome before we even arrived with his outstanding, and oh so helpful, driving directions and communication. The sparkling clean and spacious villa is situated on beautiful grounds overlooking the Duoro Valley. The daily breakfast was a treat that we looked forward to everyday. Wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely return.

You must book this place. It was truly the most magical experience. The home itself is so beautiful and pictures can hardly do it justice. The property is located on a farm with every herb you can think of all over the property just right outside your door. (perfect if you love to cook) It felt like a botanical gardens. My fiancé and I just walked around and looked at what they grew here. It was so cool seeing that! We came in May and there were roses everywhere. Lemons and oranges were abundant. I want to come back to Portugal just to stay here. I’d love to come in November when the olive trees are ready to harvest. You have to drive through the cutest Portuguese village to get here. It felt like we were in a fairytale. It’s just a good vibe. Pedro was so friendly and we loved the breakfast delivered straight to our door every morning. Thank you for the best stay! 10/10

wow!!! it was so beautiful the Vila was spacious and very well designed. if you are looking for a quiet getaway on the mountain, you found a super comfortable stay. the host thought about everything to the smallest detail. the breakfast was very rich and yummy. they even made a special gluten-free for my little girl with celiac. I was so amazed by the service and consideration. I would definitely go back again.

A fantastically beautiful place. Great location, you can walk all day through the vineyards and the shore of the Douro. There's not a soul around. Complete peace of mind. Caring wonderful hosts who adore their region. Be sure to try the delicious olive oil, wine and bread. We fell in love with this place. Our cats also appreciated the walks in the yard. Many thanks to Pedro and his parents ❤️ we will definitely come again!

Our family loved staying at the Quinta Vale de Carvalho. The house was as comfortable and spacious as can be, set in a tranquil and stunningly gorgeous location. The breakfasts are amazing, the pool impeccable, and Pedro is a delightful and attentive host. If one wants to wander, charming villages and towns are to be found nearby, and it is driving distance to the Parque Arqueológico do Vale do Côa and the Parque Natural do Douro Internacional.

An absolutely unique and beautiful location in the middle of olive and orange groves! Secluded yet with all the comforts of home. The hosts go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Local wine, olive oil and port await you from the families own estate. An abundant vegetable garden supplies you with the making of traditional Portuguese dinners in the spacious and well equipped kitchen. Breakfast is freshly made and brought to your door. And the views.... definitely something to write home about!

Everything was soo perfect and nice! We will definitely come back for vacation. Very quite. Only two villas and the house of the owners on the property. Very private and so relaxing. The house has everything and is very big. We had two nice rooms for 3 persons, a gigantic living room and an incredible kitchen. Incredible views from pool and lounge areas. The owners and their son, Pedro, are very friendly people. We received fresh vegetables, so good wine and portwine and olive oil, made there. Absolutely great and delicious. I recommend cooking as the restaurants are not close, which was no problem for us. Breakfast is rich and delicious, includes local products, freshly backed. Even our loundry was done, so nicely. This is a perfect service and was even free. But should definitely be paid. We loved the little black cat, chispa. Please have in mind that the place is a bit remote, but that was exactly what made it so special. This and the really seldom friendliness of the owners who really did everything to make the stay unforgettable. This place is a real gem! We will come back! Thank you so much for everything! We will enjoy the Vine and oil and always think back positive 🤗😊 see you soon!

The accomodation is very comfortable and stunning ! We had a brilliant stay and pedro was always ready to help us with any tips on restaurants, walks etc. We where given a homemade wine and port which where delicious. The breakfast was exceptional! We looked forward to that picnic baskett every morning !

Very modern house with a tasteful architecture and a real soul. We enjoyed the relaxing peace and quiet among the breathtaking views of the valley from the pool. The hosts were extremely kind, helpful and professional. Their copious homemade breakfast is an absolute gem. It goes without saying that the experience is well worth the drive from Porto, and we will definitely come back next time we visit Portugal!
