It's a lovely place within a small village. João is an extremely friendly host who makes sure you feel at home right away. The apartment was spotlessly clean, almost as if we were the first guest there. Wherever you look, you find some little detail, showing how much love the place gets.

These are personal preference issues but the fragrance sticks were overwhelming for me but can be removed from the room ahead of time I assume and the bed was too firm for my husband but fine for me.

Lovey property with modern aesthetic. Good outdoor and common space and full use of kitchen. Close to many places including the lovely lagoon we would have missed had we not stayed here.

We arrive later than anticipated due to a late arrival in Lisbon but João still met us at the guesthouse to check us in and make sure we were settled. João is a very generous host in every way. He gave us time, flexibility and many suggestions. We (two couples) were very comfortable in the rooms and made use of the kitchen and dining room to have our late dinner. The house and rooms are very well appointed and beautifully done. We really liked going to the local bakery for coffee and pastries. We chose the guesthouse because it wasn't in the heart of Obidos and we were happy of our decision to have stayed in the small village of Vau. Quick trip to Obidos and coast.

The only regret I have is that we stayed there for one night only! The pictures don't give enough credit to the place. High cleanliness level and great attention to details. João, the host, is really kind and helpful, happy to provide any kind of information or suggestions about the surrounding area. For sure highly recommended!!

Nothing negative. I suppose the home is in a small village with only few amenities around (the bakery "Padaria do Vau" was nice and cheap!) but luckily we had a car to get to the places we wanted. The location was great to visit Obidos and Peniche and explore the nearby beaches.

The home was very nicely decorated, everything was so clean and new. The hosts were very kind and helpful and we were welcomed with homemade cookies and liquor.

The owner waited for us for almost an hour. He welcomed us with warm greetings and intruduced the place. It is a lovely home and the kitchen is beautiful and stylish. The pool is not big but very enjoyable espcially during the sunset. Very beautiful and peaceful place. 5 star recommended!

The other guests arrived late in the night and were noisy in common spaces, everything could be heard (of course the owner can't affect this). The bed could be more comfortable, it was very firm.

The style of the house is excellent, we liked it a lot. The owner was very nice, we received many tips and recommendations.

the closest location, but centre of Obidos is amazing

House decorated with heart and tastefully, clean. Lots of amazing furniture and decorations. Fully equipped kitchen, you can feel like at home. We were with a group of friends so we felt at ease and comfortable. Cosy garden, small but clean swimming pool. Very helpful and friendly hosts, Joao sent us links to places to see, to eat, to do shopping, which was very helpful. There was a surprise waiting for us at the welcome 😉. Thanks to the hosts for their amazing hospitality!

This was one of my best, most enjoyable stays in a while! I loved everything about it, especially the quirky, creative style of the décor - it's easy to see that it has been created with much thought and from the heart. Everything in the house was bright, clean and tasteful, and the modern (shared) kitchen extremely well stocked. Communication was superb too, Joao is super friendly and helpful with information about things to see, restaurant suggestions, supermarkets etc. I can sincerely highly recommend this beautiful place and hope to revisit soon.

Lovely, recently renovated home in a traditional village close to numerous activities such as surfing/windsurfing, beach lounging, walks/hikes, and visiting historic sites like Obidos. Also, there is a brilliant (and I mean REALLY delicious espresso sold in a neighborhood cafe) in the village.

The only thing that I could mention is that the walls are pretty thin. So if the neighboring room takes a shower, it sounds like they are taking a shower in your room. Besides that everything was just perfect.

Very personal and warm welcom by the host. He also gives you many recommandations of restaurants and places to visit in the surroundings. Confortable rooms and all the facilities you need. The house is situated in a lovely little village and it all gives you a very relaxing vibe. You can park your car in front of the house.
