The smell. You may read about it in some comments. It's unpleasant, but not strong. It's everywhere, so I guess it's a system problem of the building or in this area. I chose the hotel for the location, and spent most of the time away, so it was fine.

There was a good bed, the necessary furniture, sockets, wifi, hot water, three towels, heating system! The location is perfect if you travel for tourist purposes. There is an elevator also, but I did not use it - my room was on the first floor.

Room interior quite old. Room very small. Somewhat noisy (windows?).

Location, in the very center of the city. Close to bars and the (limited) nightlife offers in Leiria. Good Wi-Fi.

an older simple nice hotel on a very pretty old street (pleasant)

it is one of those places where you leave the key at reception when leaving (even if no one is there), and try to pick it up and be let in when returning (someone did come to open the door); the building is rather old but that could be viewed as charming

a nice relic from earlier touristic time, placed in ancient building that is on very pretty street; a little old and simple, but good value

The hotel is in the best location that is possible in Leiria, very close to the historic sites.

Wi-Fi was disconnecting from time to time, and it is a strange practice to leave the key from the room at the reception each time we've been leaving. But that is not a MINUS, rather a bit confusing feature.

Location was perfect, the building itself either. The stuff was friendly, all the necessary conditioning facilities were at hand, etc. The cleaning was in time and daily.

Good Hotel Very Convenient for the Monastery

I had 2 single beds, one was fine, but the other had a plastic mattress cover that wouldn't be nice to sleep on. WiFi a bit sketchy, but town WiFi was also accessible. However, all in all a good place to stay.

The hotel is located a few tens of metres from the monastery, so is ideal for anyone visiting. I ride a bike and arrived about noon. They let me leave my bike and luggage in the hotel so I could spend the afternoon sightseeing. The room was spacious and well equipped with a good bathroom. Best of all was the Aircon also heated. Due to COVID, breakfast was a bit packaged, but fresh and adequate. Great view of the monastery from the breakfast room. Cheap kebab shop almost next door, for those in a budget.

Great Budget Choice In Historic Old Town

Very limited TV channels (only a problem as I was holed up for 4 days).

This old hotel is located in the old town, right under the superb castle (do visit). There are lots of cafes, pastry shops and restaurants within a few short steps. The location and local ambience couldn't have been better. It has obviously been refurbished in the last year or so (lift, double glazing, etc) so please ignore old bad reviews. I am a cyclist and needed to stay for 4 days due to bad weather. I was happy with time there. It ain't the Ritz, but you aren't paying those prices. I nearly chose a chain hotel further away, so glad I didn't.

The location is unbeatable - it's right in the center of Leiria, with all sights located a short walk away, incl. the bus station. The rooms are simple but comfortable and the staff is amazing! Very friendly and caring about their guests. I will return to this hotel when next time in Leiria.
