Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIt's a bit of an uphill climb to Luna House from the main part of Cascais and it's on cobblestone sidewalks, which creates a bit of a disadvantage if you brought a rolling suitcase. Much better to use a backpack as luggage in this instance if you are planning ahead. Highly recommend Luna House in any case.
I had a room with a private bath and everything was clean as can be. The bathroom facilities worked perfectly - plenty of hot water with good pressure, for instance. The breakfast spread was extensive and included many healthy, fresh choices. An employee periodically came through the dining room to offer to fry eggs for guests so be aware that that is an option. The overall vibe of Luna House is calm and quiet. There is no television in your room if that matters to you (it did not matter to me).

NetherlandsIt’s not that I disliked it, but a heads up that at least during low season there are a lot of remote workers (it’s a co-working space) so it’s not a typical place to meet new ppl as most of them come to work. I liked the quiet ambiance. Perhaps it’s more lively during high season I don’t know. I’m less fan of the white lights (the bulbs) that are everywhere in Portugal. Doesn’t match the warm atmosphere and would be handy to have a power source near the bed. But again; it’s nothing big and definitely did not influence my stay. I liked it!
Very new, modern and decorated with taste. Lot of plants. Shared bathroom with one other room but very spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The owner, Lena took me on a hike which I wouldn’t have found on my own. Lovely breakfast. The yoga studio looked amazing too.

United StatesThe bed was not comfortable. The people were not as warm and welcoming as we have come to expect from our Portuguese hosts.
It was very clean. The facilities were excellent. The room was ready at least an hour ahead of time. The staff were professional and efficient. The breakfast was excellent.

CanadaThe unit was everything we needed and more. Very safe and convenient with lots of street parking. We wish we had stayed longer and would definitely return. One minor thing to note: this property does not have an elevator. However, there is really only two levels (main floor and upstairs) so it's not much of a climb to the upstairs rooms. We had no issues getting our large/heavy luggage up and down :)
The location was great, it is in a nice quiet and safe area of Cascais. Private parking was available during our stay - there are only 4 spots total and they can only be accessed if someone at the front desk was around to open/close the garage (not sure exactly what time they start but they were definitely there at the front desk from at least 7am until 9pm). However, there was so much free street parking available during our stay (with many spots directly in front of the property) that we did not need to use the private parking. But I wanted to note that with the staff always there and ready to help, I think the private parking would be very convenient if there was no street parking available. The rooms were exactly as described. We had one room with a private bathroom and one room with a shared bathroom. The room with the private bathroom was very large and luxurious. The room with the shared bathroom was much smaller but still perfect for our short stay and the bathroom was only shared with one other room (2 people). The bathrooms were very clean and well equipped with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The property provided a full breakfast each morning of the stay from 8am to 10:30am and included coffee, tea, water, bread, cereal, yogurt, granola, eggs, meat, cheese, vegetables, fruit, etc. It was all-you-can-eat and freshly made so we never left hungry. The property also had many common areas (inside and out) where you could sit and relax. There was also a pool that looked like it would be very inviting on a hot summer day. Those that were at the front desk were very helpful. They kept our luggage safe during our check-out day so we could explore the city without having to lug everything around and provided us a hot tea upon our return. This was a lovely place to stay and we wish our stay was longer. It would be a great spot to relax and recharge during an extended stay. There were many plants around the property which was so lovely to see.

RomaniaI really can not mention anything here. It was perfect for me, and I will choose it when I go back to Cascais.
Luna House is a great place to stay, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a comfy spot with business facilities. The staff is friendly and customer-centered, which I appreciated. Oh, and if you are wondering why it is called Luna House, that's because a friendly dog named Luna was rescued and is now a member of the team.

United KingdomLate homecomers let the door close itself. Which meant I was woken up. But heavy sleepers will be fine.
Everything. I am not sure I actually want to share the secret of how amazing is this place, as it is such a pearl. It starts from reception staff telling you their name, helping you with everything you may need. There are options for yoga events. The room was as described and more. I loved live plants all over the house. Nice bed and sheets. Private bathroom was outstanding finish and rituals products provided. Not to mention the tasty breakfast and the cutest dog Luna. The location of the house is in a lovely neighbourhood with nice walks around. Recommend the park nearby. I can not recommend this place enough. I did not want to leave as I loved working in their Coworking Space. It was a really relaxed and safe and lovely stay.

We stayed at the room with private bathroom, we had full privacy and great conditions. Rituals cosmetics in the bathroom were very nice addition to our beautiful stay. Dog Luna is very cute and loved when we pet her. She was our companion during breakfast.

United StatesI wish that they had eggs with the complementary breakfast, but there were plenty of other options that I was easily able to find other options that were delicious!
I had a room with a private bathroom and my room was very spacious (twice the size of any hotel room) and clean. The staff were very friendly, helpful and overwhelmingly kind. I extended my stay for another night because the facilities and people were so lovely! I will definitely be back again and I highly recommend Luna House to anyone staying in Cascais.
