We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Czech RepublicThe breakfast was the weakest link. Scrambled eggs were crap. The charcuterie offer and the quality was crap. Black tea offer was limited to “English breakfast”. Bread was good, fried eggs were OK. Definitely not a four-star standard. A pity because otherwise this hotel is a real gem.
Great location, great and comfy bed, amazing bathroom and shower, fantastic and helpful staff.

She also recommended a few restaurants and pointed out the local spots to and eat. She remembered us and always made an effort to greet us and ask how the tour or the day had been.

HungaryNo specific cons at all, just some small things. Location is great but deep in the hotel area of Funchal, about 15 minutes walk from centre, 20-25 minutes walk of the cable car station or the local town centre. Restaurants and bars in the area are overpriced, touristy, lacking local specifics. Breakfast is great but hardly did change, so it became a little boring after 5-6 days. There are multiple oldschool USB (type A) chargers at the nightstands, but only 1 wall outlet in the room, so if you have multiple devices with other charger types (like type C) then you need to plan your charging.
Almost perfect, quiet little hotel. Only 3 floors, and just a handful of rooms, 3 garage places. Rooms are sizeable with seating area and balcony, bathroom is with shower and bidet. There is a small fridge and a safe in the closet. Air conditioning was working perfectly. Everything is of good quality and even of good design. There is even complementary gift waiting for the guests. Staff is nice and helpful, they speak solid English. Breakfast was great.

United KingdomNo kettle in the room but if you ask at reception you are given one. There is a room safe but you need to pay to use it. There is an uphill walk to get back to the hotel but it's not too bad.
Breakfast was good especially the fantastic coffee machine. Room was spacious with a balcony with a sea view. TV excellent and bathroom fantastic with a large walk in shower. Bed very comfortable. Staff friendly and happy to help. Hotel is small with just 18 rooms but it did mean there was never a queue at reception. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by. A very pleasant stay.

SpainBreakfast was not varied enough. Cheap cereals. No tea or coffee making facilities in room. I knew in advance the rules about not smoking on the terrace of my room. Still annoying when nobody else used their terraces and I still had to go downstairs and outside. As with a lot of the hotels, it's a long uphill walk from the town centre.
Room was nice, comfortable bed. staff were helpful with information when asked. Good value for money over the Easter weekend. Lots of restaurants/bars nearby.

Poland- we heard some rat or other animal between the ceiling and the roof. I informed the receptionist but he said he has no free rooms for us and promised to send someone in the morning to look into the problem, but no one appeared. Fortunately the noise stopped. - quite poor and similar breakfast everyday
