The sofa bed wasn’t comfortable at all. Putting the mattress on the floor would fix the problem.

Very nice apartment with everything one needs. Walking distance to the centre (walking down) and getting a cab back was very convenient. The balcony was just amazing.

Our flat was on the main street side, and there is some bushes- full of mosquitoes, it was hard to enjoy evenings in the balcony, about sleep Im not say anything, my worse holidays, didn’t sleep well 6 days in a row.

Nothing special, old tv, no English channels, no ssd hard ability to read:( nothing left for nice stay, need to buy even salt for the table.

No air conditioning and when it’s hot it’s very uncomfortable. The fans are not enough. Maybe adding air conditioning to the unit would make this a comfortable stay when booking in peak times.

It was big and clean. Balcony was huge with excellent views. We weren’t sure if we were allowed to use the pool area so we didn’t use it. Owners were excellent to deal with.

Some typical small things that aren't available in the kitchen: small cutting knives (there are big ones but they aren't that sharp)/peeler/ kitchen towels. Also, we requested (and got) a baby cot. But a baby seat would've been nice. (To be fair we only asked at arrival so it was probably too late to still arrange it.)

Biggest plus was the big terrace with a good view of funchal. But there was also quick and clear communication with the concierge through whatsapp. (Incl. Easy access and drop off of the key). The kitchen is quite well equiped (1.5 sink/Electric furnace with 4 "pits"/oven/microwave/dishwasher/kettle/toaster/... and also soap and dishwasher pods were available. In general the complex is very well maintained and has a pretty pool.

We knew that so it is not a structure lack...Funchal is up and down so it is not that easy to reach city center and come back by walking as it is a little bit outside the inner circle of the old town.

Everything worked perfectly! the apartment is nice and clean with a wonderful view and the use of the swimming pool.

Just advising the Hills are steep! It's about a 15min walk into town centre which is fine going down, but walking home is a tough one lol, hence after day 3 we opted for a taxi home which was around 6 euros. Worth it! 😂

Lovely view over the city, shop close by just down the hill & across the road from it wee friendly bar ran by Marco. Accommodation was fantastic, had everything you need on a holiday away with family. Fabulous balcony & comfy bed, spotlessly clean. Pool is a great size! Owners are very helpful & quick to respond & went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay. Would 100% return!

The bedroom bed was comfortable but quite noisy - every time my friend was turning side during the night the squeaking noise woken us up. A sofa bed in the living room was missing a few bottom ribs - it wasn't too much of a problem until you forgot and sat at the end of the bed. Shower gel was very poor quality, making the skin and hair feel even more dry especially after swimming in the ocean - this was definitely a bit disappointing.

Overall, the Apartment is specious with all the equipment needed, a big balcony with nice glimpse of the ocean view. Self check-in and approximately 20min walk to the City centre is a big plus. Definitely recommend for a short or longer stay!! :)

Air-conditioning missing

The flat exceed my expectations. Located in a newish complex. Everything was clean. Kitchen well equipped for someone who would like to cook. Also washing machine and dishwasher. The balcony generous size, like a terrace with sunbeds, umbrella, table and chairs. Walking distance from town centre. Only inconvenience, way back to flat is uphill. But that's nothing to do with accommodation itself. Taxi coming back from town cost around €5-6

Some photos implicate a pool view, but that is another building on the premises. Our stay was in building 1, across the street. that is also the advertised view from the balcony over the city and port. Location is along busy and steep road, easy stroll downwards into the centre but hard to climb up at night. Noisy from gearing traffic and some overactive barking dogs in the neighboring buildings all night, so we had to close the windows and shutters.

Spacious, well equipped apartment. Clean and modern, large balcony with a pleasant orientation to the sun/shadow, lovely for breakfast and a late evening drink. Gym (paid) and Pool ( free, bur cold) across the street, accessible for residents only with a tag-key. Small mini-market nearby. Also bus stops and parking space.

It was a bit noisy from the street. Personally I like a harder mattress but that is a matter of choice. There is a big door between the bedrooms that might be an advantage for families with small kids but you lose intimacy.

Small details that did not affect our stay much: hall paper was coming out, microwave did not have a plate so it was impossible to put stand a glass inside.

The terrace was amazing-great views and plenty of space.

There is no access from the gate on that level (it was always closed and only the gym clients could use that gate), so we had to go up the stairs from the level below, which is bad especially when you’re with kids and babies and all that stuff to carry on.

The apartment is great, with a nice terrace. The pool is fine, although there were just a few chairs, not enough for everyone. There is a nice gym for an extra cost in the premises.

Showerhead was broken so couldn't shower. Ants. Neglected. Old cleaning items (broom, garbage bin that was broken, faucet in the kitchen that was loose and fell off). Lead to believe we had a great view of downtown but apartment was in a side building - on tip toe in the farthest hook you could see the sea and city center. It's a complex where most people there live - not vacation - so dogs barking. Next to us every morning at 7 o' clock so on vacation no chance to sleep in. Walls very thin so you heard the neighbors next and above until late in the night.

The apartment itself was rather nice. Large balcony with good balcony furniture. Good sized apartment. Outdated modern style.
