No complaints really. The indoor pool facilities are looking a bit old.

There were plenty of breakfast options with both cooked breakfast and continental. We had the option to sit outside for breakfast on warm days.

The view and the rooms are great. Nice helpful staff. Linens and beds are great. Breakfast is always excellent and when on the terrace outside, breakfast and that cant be better !!

Only minor criticism was the evening meal choices in restaurant. We were in a dinner package, and only ate in restaurant once.

Hotel location and views were superb. Staff were incredibly friendly & helpful. Everything was spotlessly clean, nice to have fruit bowl in room. Courtesy bus to Funchal was very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Parking on site.

The rooms haven't been renovated in a while and it's starting to be quite visible. Nevertheless, they are still clean and comfy.

Helpful staff, good breakfast, clean (but a bit dated) rooms. Generally, it provides everything you would expect in this price range at a good level.

The hotel used to supply tea pots at breakfast. These have been replaced by the worst tea I have ever tasted as the vending machines do not have boiling water. I asked a staff member for a teapot but was advised that they do not have any. As a tea addict this was very disappointing especially as somewhere in the hotel they must have cupboards full of them! The bathrooms are in need of updating. Yellow tiles are old and a little cracked and stained, mold around the shower door. There had been a problem on the main breakfast deck and 50% of the area was closed off and appeared to be a building site. As this area is the focal viewing point of the hotel, it limited the best outdoor space.

Good selection at breakfast. Well presented and refreshed as soon as offering ran down. Staff were constantly on hand and were very efficient. This was our fourth stay in recent years. Is the hotel good - yes, is it as good as it was - no. Nothing you could say was bad, nothing you could really point out, it's just the attention to detail does not seem to be what it was.

Aircon unit in our room wasn't very effective so found it difficult to sleep at night. May have just been our room though.

Quiet room with very comfortable bed. Views from restaurant terrace were great. Good breakfast. Easy access to Funchal and surrounding areas. Very helpful and friendly staff. Hotel was smaller than others in area which we preferred.

The location is perfect for walking along the coast to Churchill bay and beyond or walking in to the city. Breakfast is very good in terms of choice and healthy options. The staff are excellent , polite, well trained and efficient. Our room which was a suite was spotless and well appointed

- The hotel need a basic refurbishment. It's partly done, but the facade looks awful and some of the furniture has been along for a while - The ordinary staff wasn't very motivated, except for the reception. Cleaning was average, we had to ask them to clean our windows (they were not nice at arrival) a few times, before it was done.

- The view from our room was just amazing, full seaview. Ok, we had a room in the corner with terrace and window in two directions. - The location is very good, with access to reastaurant and shoppingh center, but most important: very close to the sea and a beach. - The hotel's own pool area was not large (not needed) but nice, with a deep, circular pool.
