Cozy place, not too big, great sea view rooms, tasty and diverse breakfast options, helpful staff, great price/value ratio. Very well served dinner. On-site free parking. Very good location — it’s now my favorite part of Funchal.

Leaving!

The hotel is compact and perfect. It has all the facilities needed for a perfect holiday. The staff are so friendly and helpful always. As it’s not a huge hotel, as so many of Funchal’s hotels are, the service is far more personal. The location,so close to the sea, makes for a wonderful view from every room and it’s so easy to relax to the sound of the waves.

A bigger pool would be nice but not easy to fit in the space. TV was small but truth be told it was not the most necessary item.

The view from the balcony is just great! You can observe the sunsets and sundowns while in bed. Room looked just like in the photos. Staff was very nice and helpful and whatever requests we had were addressed without problem. There is a courtesy bus to and from the centre of Funchal - we have not used it but it is a nice touch. Great views from the terrace too where we enjoyed our breakfasts.

The hotel is getting a bit old and the rooms could get a slight renovation. The age is also to be seen on the balcony - full of ants, but these are not harmful and can be ignored.

The absolute best part was the breakfast view - a breakfast outside with gorgeous view of the sunrise! We had as well a seaside room with absolutely stunning view! The personnel was really helpful, ready to service, answer questions and whatever for you! Amazing!

Outside pool really small and surrounding sunbathing area a bit sparse. We were in a room that turned out to be directly above fitness centre and on a couple of days people were using noisy equipment from about 06.45 and this echoed up to our room meaning no alarm clock was needed to wake us up for breakfast 😏😏

staff really good, room and sea view balcony excellent. Really efficient and friendly reception staff who were always on hand to help. Waiting staff also really friendly especially Marta Silva.

I am still looking for it...

The staff is very nice and professional, the view is astonishing (including from the restaurant on the terrace), the breakfast buffet is perfect and... as it is an 'adults only' hotel, there is no noise from difficult-to-manage kids (and we had four children but it is, nevertheless, good to be in a quiet place... ;-). All in all, our stay was perfect and this hotel is, without any doubt, in the Top 3 of all hotels we booked in Portugal - where we live - during the last 3 years. Highly recommended and thank you for having made our stay in Funchal so enjoyable. Thumbs up to this hotel, to the General Manager and to her staff !

Nothing

Our room was just wonderful with 2 big balconies with a sea view. We could lie in bed and watch the sun rise. We parked our rental car for no extra cost. Great breakfast outside every morning. Next time in Madeira we will definately stay here again!

The sockets near the bed had USB ports only so we had to charge phones/notebooks by disconnecting the lamp on the table.

The view was perfect and overall hotel was quite comfortable. The room also had a fridge and a tea set.

We always book a premium room, this one had a smaller balcony without the comfortable couch we are used to. Also Hotels always provide fruit and bottled water on your first day but nothing after that. If the room was taken on a nightly basis they would have to replace them every day. Why are guests penalised for loyally staying multiple nights. Annoying.

They switched my booking to another hotel without my permission even though I had planned 3 nights there and even booked an extra night. Where I come from this would not be acceptable but our new hotel is wonderful!

Absolutely nothing

It is a small hotel which we prefer. We like everything and if we ever returned to Madeira , we would definitely stay here , what a find . It was very clean , amazing breakfast , stunning views . Bar and lunch at the pool very reasonable and the staff helpful, friendly and are doing a fantastic job , thank you .

The hotel was in an ideal position near restaurants and with amazing views. The hotel was spotless and the staff excellent. The beds were so comfortable and all elements of the room were great and no noise from adjoining rooms even though the hotel was full.

Very Clean, Coozy, Very Comfortable, Unic views (lying on the floor of my room still watching the sea) The athmoshere at the top floor (Sirocco Bar) is incredible, very relaxing looking to the horizon. TO BE REPEATED for sure
