Very spacious and warmly Villa . All the required amenities and above that. Truly superb view over the valley. You can sit and just stare for hours. The village is 10-15 minutes drive from Pinaho. Nothing to do in the village itself (which is exactly what we wanted - a quiet spot not within a city, with all the requirements and a superb view). Host was very, very helpful when needed You must have a car to get there and back - hard to get taxis there

We were not too happy with their bathrooms. They were not nicely planned and were smelly. It actually got inconvenient for us even though we were all family members.

The view from the property is magnificient. Getting to property is easy and Pinhao town is nearby. This property has 4 bedrooms and can accommodate families. The pool is small and has jacuzzi. The hosts communicate promptly.

The beds were squeaky and uncomfortable. The address for the listing was wrong. Had to rely on the locals (all very friendly and helpful) for help locating the property

Spectacular view! We had a last minute booking so there were some challenges but Antonio was extremely helpful getting us situated. This was a good home base for a few days while we explored Porto and the Douro valley. Would book again.

I thank the very kind host, and the house has great potential even if some aspects need to be revised.

First of all, the address given on Booking is incorrect. It refers you to a place which is not very far away but which is different. It needs to be corrected. Secondly, the accommodation only has a front door and a window on the mezzanine plus a small skylight. It is a little too dark. It is also cold (or at least it was when we visited). The host helped us by bringing us wood for the stove, but it took time to heat everything. The hot water in the shower only came out for the first 5-10 minutes, boiling, and then cold Our flat had a panoramic window on the mezzanine, from which we could partially glimpse the village, as a building in the foreground hid it. This was not really clear from the photos in the ad.

The manager was always very friendly and responsive. She even agreed to move our booking by a day at the last minute (our flight was cancelled and rescheduled at the last minute). The location is good.

Disappointing! I wouldn't recommend staying at this property.

The property has shower plumbing issues that weren't addressed when we reported it. There was no hot water for the entire 3 night stay for 3 people. They said they'd send a plumber to fix it. NOTHING HAPPENED. Plus, the address is different in the posting versus the actual house.

There's a person who takes care of the property across the street. But, he was unable to fix all the problems.

Unfortunately the first thing you see on entering the villa is a prominent sign stating the time you must leave by. Also notices about conserving towels to reduce laundry. But inaccurate information for guests about using the swim current and lights in the very small pool. The control box had been sealed shut with shower sealant. We messaged the owners for instructions. After more than a day we received a reply asking us to contact a neighbour who did not speak any English. I don’t expect people in other countries to speak English, but the provision of written instructions in any language would have meant we could translate them. Be careful using the pool, there are sharp edges where an underwater seat and steps have been constructed. My careful 13 year old son hurt his leg. It was pretty useless for him without the swim current. Please do not try to park adjacent to the house down the precariously steep drive. We had hired an SUV and even this did not have the power to reverse out and turning it around in a tiny space was almost impossible due to the gradient differences - one wheel of the vehicle was literally in the air.

The property has been well designed to maximise the plot to achieve a three bedroom en-suite plus tiny pool. The upstairs open plan living kitchen is pleasant and views to the Douro and surrounding vineyards are stunning.
