It was okay palce to stay. It is almost at the centre of the Porto near Mercado do Balhao and with metro you can get almost everywhere. Stuff might be better and in kitchen there was nothing to cook with. Unfortinatly. Solid 7/10

The showers didn't have any real privacy, some locks were broken. There's no stove, no mugs. The entrance is a little confusing since the actual door to the hostel is not in the street of the address but at the back, and anyway there's rarely someone there.

It's close to a metro station and the Mercado do Bolhao. The room was clean as most spaces. You share with only other three people when the room is full. You're given the code to the entrance door so you can go in and out at any hour.

I have no complaints. For this price it is excellent.

I always stay at this place on weekends in Porto. Rooms are for a maximum of 6 people. I preffer this than being with 20 people in the same room as most of other hostels. Mr. Shaki the receptionist is very helpful and friendly.

The fact that there are extra costs (like tax, deposit) which has to be payed on the spot, and there is no mention of that prior booking. Also there is no way to lock the dorms, or your locker, although for the later you can buy lock, for an extra fee. All of this colud be fine if It was known prior booking, but to face all of theese upon arrival, is jus one too many unpleasant surprises.

The problem for the solo traveler is the lack of access zones (everything is available to everyone). There is also no one to entrust valuables for the time of hygiene treatments. While taking a shower, it is not possible to deposit valuables separated from other people's access. There are lockers but without keys and you would have to have your own suitable padlock. It would be useful to be able to rent a padlock in place to close the locker.

The hostel is very well located and run by nice young people. The hostel is run in the formula of a cheap hostel and fulfills this role taking into account value for money.

either i misunderstood the staff or they really said that the doors are locked from the outside between 1AM and 6AM. for me (someone who likes to explore the nightlife of the city) that was not very ideal, eventhough porto's quite good at partying until the early hours... ;-)

Shower on the 1st floor was extremely tiny....no place to put your two hands and two legs ;) But you can always go downstairs and there is a bigger shower. Hot water and no waiting. The smell in the bathroom was very bad. No soap in a shower, no towel included. In the room only one common lamp for all room (but it wasn't a problem with nice roommates). No cook, but it wasn't problem for me.

WC is in need of updating, not very private as there is no main door. The place where the kitchen should be is next to the toilet only with a curtain, so you can hear all the unpleasant sounds. The stove is closed due to Covid, so people manage to boil eggs in a kettle, and then have to use that kettle to heat water for own tea, not very nice.

You can leave your backpack after the check-out time for 5 or 10 euros. The location of the hostel is good.

Not a bad experience, but there are a few simple things that could be easily fixed to improve the general vibe. First of all, the reception has a break 12-3pm and the door is locked so you won't even enter before check in to drop your luggage unless someone is there. I was being said that it is normal, but after few other hostels in Porto I see it is not true. Second, bathrooms could be cleaner. Third and most disturbing thing, there is no space for people to hang out at. We were enjoying a coffee in the kitchen when the staff asked us to leave because "he has something to do here". Not his fault I guess, but didn't feel right as we didn't have any other place to go to.

Great location, nice beds, little dorms give you a feeling of privacy (if you're lucky with your roommates), friendly staff.

If you set the expectation low it’s okay. Only stayed for one night for an early morning flight. Bed was good. There was air conditioning in the room (made some noise though) and lockers for each bed. The room was clean and so was the bed. Did not use the shower, did not look to clean. Rest of badroom was okay. Don’t think this is a cosy hostel for backpackers to chill and meet others. Think of it as a (cheap) bed to sleep!
