The place was in a fantastic location, surrounded by beauty. The breakfast every day was great, especially since there are not a lot of nearby food options. The staff was super nice and the room super comfy. Easy parking but be prepared for an intense drive! Highly recommend renting a car.

The location was fantastic - walking distance to multiple hiking trails, spectacular falls and the coast. The breakfast was good and plentiful. They even adjusted their normal schedule to suit our early hours.

The room was very spacious and clean. With all the necessary amenities. The breakfast was good with fresh bread every day. The hosts were very friendly and even went the extra mile to ensure that we had some gluten-free options when requested. With the main attractions in Flores being on the west side, it is a great place to stay during the visit.

If you want to use a washing machine, you have to pay extra for that.

Local accommodation operating in a large family house, where several rooms are rented out. The accommodation is well located, the wifi worked well, everything was clean. The equipment is simple, but the bed is quite large and comfortable. The breakfast was sufficient. We were able to park nearby for free.

The room was very small and it was hard to move around even if you don't have so many luggage. The sink is very small and the shower floor was broken. Breakfast was served very early, so if you get up late, everything will be warm. Also the bread was never fresh.

The location is nice. You are close to the waterfalls and hiking trails and next to the beach.

It was all good.

We were welcomed by a very friendly host who spoke very good English. The house and the rooms have a traditional decoration but were quite comfortable and all have a great, even majestic view. Breakfast was good, including bean-coffee and homemade foods such as cake and marmelade. Our stay was very enjoyable.

-- room sandy and long black hairs all over, cleaning also left windows wide open while we were away and our laptops and so in the room -- noisy -- description to be interpreted differently (for example, water boiler in yr room but shared kitchen and canteen with television not so much for guests but for owners and shared fridge in the hall) -- had to do some work for the office but internet signal too eak too slow

Doing laundry was slightly overpriced. In addition, no bikes were available at the accommodation despite the information available on Booking.

Comfortable stay with nice breakfast included (even with home-baked pasteis de nata), very clean room and comfortable bed. The location at Faja Grande is absolutely stunning and great for starting many of the hikes over the island, at the same time being closed to some local restaurants! All in all, strongly recommended.

The beds: hard and there was a gap between our mattresses. But that’s it! Everything else was really good!! Definitely good value for money.

The location is excellent for hiking and there are a few restaurants near by. People in the Faja greet you as you walk by and everyone is nice and helpful. Also: we loved having fresh towels every day and the laundry service was wonderful. I’m sure we’ll be back!!! Thank you Jose!!

The room was good enough and very clean. Breakfast is a plus and Octavio was super nice to help us during our stay with trasfers and suggestions. In the Residencia you have access to laundry facilities (with extra payment) and a beautiful garden. Very close to the main Flores hot spots.

Pillows and beds were a bit hard for our liking, but to each their own.

We enjoyed the localization of Residência Mateus immensely! The hosts were also very kind and friendly. You can tell they put a lot of effort into making sure you are comfortable and enjoy your stay. Breakfast was lovely and varied, on-site laundry, very clean and good vibes all around! We highly recommend!

There was a high level of humidity inside the bedroom. A wind blower is necessary to feel ok, but it does not make a comfortable sleeping. The bathroom was really tiny.

Abundant breakfast with homemade cheese, jam, yogurt, and much more. Super position. If you are a trained walker, there is no need for a car from this position. Good overall value for the price!

It is a bit expensive for what it is, as the accomodation offers the basics. However, considering the lack of options in Flores, it is a fair option.

The location is perfect, waking up everyday with ocean view and in front of the waterfalls, it is breathtaking. The room was quite simple, perfectly clean. The breakfast is composed of local products, such as bread, cheese, jams, it was good.
