Beautifully modern designed hotel- superb position for sightseeing. The reception staff were truly outstanding, particularly Maria. Porto’s Jewel. Whoever selects the people who work there does an outstanding job. They are very well trained in hospitality and have the right personalities to work in the hospitality industry. Friendly helpful staff, modern hotel right in the centre of Porto. Everything is walkable distance, nice bar. Dyson hair dryer was a nice touch as well

It was hard to stop near the hotel, had to park at a 24hr parking near the hotel and walk the luggage there. Overall, traffic is pretty bad in porto.

Walking the Camino De Santiago, hotel is wonderful and centrally located. Decor very stylish and these are two particular details but the black out curtains were 101% and the doors had a soft close option so we didn’t hear any doors slamming at any point. Used the pool as well and it was splendid. Breakfast was amazing absolutely worth it. Friendly staff very helpful. If starting the Camino the passport pickup can be done at Se Cathedral which is nearby.

During the night, the ventilation system was a little bit annoying, and you had no possibility of locking the bathroom door and door from the bathroom to the toilet. It is not a classic door. It is with a swiping mechanism.

The hotel location is absolutely cool, small oasis in big city center. The swimming pool was nice, the whole hotel was stylish and nice. Breakfast was interesting and contains a lot of buns and fruits, but for the main course, not so many options. I would like to say it is a good place to stay if you are a fan of old city walking paths.

The location of the hotel was great! Near the main city attractions and plenty restaurants and bars. The breakfast was amazing. A huge variety of sweet & savory delights and a great, sunny breakfast area.

It was a little snug with two people and two suitcases, had to only have one suitcase open at a time.

The staff were amazing, as well as the location. Very nicely appointed! Cute balcony was a bonus for some fresh air.

We liked everything!

Everything about Mercure was perfect. I want to highlight how kind and helpful the staff. They were absolutely wonderful. Breakfast had a lovely variety with gluten free options. Location made most places walkable. Bed was comfortable and rooms were clean and spotless. We slept so well cause there was barely any noise. Will be recommending all my friends here!

The staff were so helpful. Nothing was a problem. Especially Julie who welcomed us and gave us wonderful advice. All the staff went out of their way to help us.

I suggest to add a mattress cover under the sheet, (there is only one sheet and is not very hygienically correct) and air system in the bathroom.

I loved the professional young staff, the strategic central location near everything, the modern and stylish design. Breakfast is delicious and full of choices! Also their sustainability programs are interesting and aim to save water and waste. But the staff make the difference. They made all our stay super! Thank you Julie and Ana for your great help.

The room was lovely, beautifully decorated, very clean and quiet, large and with a varanda. Both bed and shower were amazing and helped us relax a lot Great breakfast and perfect location, just a few minutes from the train station The staff was also very attentive, they gave us an upgrade to a bigger room (probably because we visited in March, I imagine the hotel was not fully booked). We also enjoyed the common area in front of the pool, it was very quiet and great for a last drink after dinner

They don’t have any amenities in the bathroom, there was only a hand-wash and a shower-gel, even for slippers we had to ask at the reception. Disappointing for a 4 star hotel. Breakfast just a few options, and the same every day.

Is a very nice hotel, located in a nice area, close to train station.
