The host was very kind, and the room was amazing. We had free coffee, free Madeiran bananas - very hard to find on the island good to eat! - and overall the experience was great. Close to the MIUT start, near the beach, in the old center, everything was wow! If we will come to Machico again, this is our first option 100%!

Very beautiful spacious room, nice interieur with style and lots of wooden furniture/elements, hot and strong shower, shared, well equipped kitchen (i liked the different teas you can combine with a description of their medicinal use), a really beautiful terrace, everything immaculate clean, perfect location in the center of machico but absolutely quiet, near to the beach, cafes, restaurants, bus stop etc., all not more than 3min away, and last but not least a very lovely host. Can absolutely recommend this place

The bathroom is really small and very difficult to use (unless you're a tiny person). It's very noisy on the floor above, with every single footsteps being heard. If you take earplugs you'll be ok.

Love the concept of using everything left behind. There's no waste! The location is great and it's very clean. It's very good value for money too.

People upstairs were running around and moving furniture until late night, also alot of bars and restaurants around. So if you are a light sleeper or have early morning it could be a problem.

Nice big room and very comfortable bed. We liked the kitchen, which was very well set up, with free teas and coffee and easy to use. The shared outside seating area was also very comfortable with a view of the sea. Great location near the beach and restaurants. We'll be back for another stay!

Everything was superb! The location is near the beach, with plenty of nive restaurants nearby. The rooms were big and full of natural light. The common space was well organized, and equipped.

The bathroom is a little on the small side but functional and something we really liked was that there’s plenty of hooks and rails to hang towels and clothing on.

The room was clean and comfortable, well located in Machico. We really liked the kitchen area and having access to crockery and cutlery. The staff was very friendly, make sure to ask them tips about Madeira!

A lovely place with a warm and welcoming vibe. The host was super friendly from the start and was really quick to sort out any minor problems. The place is quirky with an eco friendly and communal outlook. I would definitely recommend it.

The bathroom was very small, but overall ok. The only thing was that it took me a very long time to get the hot water going. It eventually started flowing so no complaints.

Special place to stay in Machico. We stayed 2 years ago so when we needed somewhere in Machico again we did not hesitate to return. We were not disappointed

It really felt like home. We were so relaxed here. Nice big room, all en suite. The kitchen is modern with good facilities. Love that you get your own press with all the glasses and plates etc you need.

Parking in town is an issue, I would recommend using the large carpark up the hill beside the service station. As far as the property goes, no issues

Every element of this property has been well thought through, from the beautifully designed and themed rooms to the functional kitchen facilities. The staff were very helpful and friendly,the son is a mountain guide, and so gave some excellent advice on hiking in the mountains. The property is located very centrally so is convenient for every corner of Machico. If I come back to Madeira, I will be coming back here .

Nothing, it was perfect! If I could change one thing, was a lack of washing machine, which would be helpful for longer stayes. Especially that in Machico you can get very sweaty from running and hiking ;)

This place was the best we stayed in Madeira. Close to the center, but still quiet. Very comfortable and with nice design. The host was super friendly, he recommended us a very interesting trail run and a couple restaurants to eat. The shared kitchen has everything you need, clean. There is a place you can leave staff so others can pick it up and it won't be wasted. We loved that idea! Room was very comfortable and had enough space. You can also buy some local handmade products, we got a soap with a really beautiful orange scent 😍

For a tall guy like me the bathroom could have been a little bigger

This was an excellent place to stay in Machico. Very comfortable bed with nice bedding, well designed large room with a seating area and every amenity you could need. Guest house has great kitchen and common areas. The location is perfect. Just minutes from the sea, great restaurants and cafes. Very easy to access hiking trails from this area. The hosts are very friendly, make you feel at home. They also have great advice for things to do in the area.
