One of the most picturesque places I have ever stayed
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Two-Bedroom House
    • Stayed 4 nights

The house was cold-ish at night and early in the morning, in August. The driveway is tough - it's a ~ 20% incline on a stone/dirt track, leading up to a blind spot on a winding road. Getting in an out the first few times was a stressful... The roads out of the area were a bit uncomfortable - narrow winding roads until you reach the village.

The location is amazing. It matches the pictures - a former flour mill built of stone located near a stream, with a small waterfall on one side. No neighbours - you're all alone. Rooms were a bit basic but OK, bathroom OK, Large kitchen had a ton of pots, pans, utensils etc. - also a gas range, a microwave, a filter coffee maker, and a sandwich toaster. There was a barbecue we used, and a washing machine. Wifi worked fine. Had a nice lawn to sit in (could eat out there on a picnic table). Our host was good - on line to solve anything if needed.

Nice place with some maintenance issues and difficult access.

The access was tricky, even a bit dangerous: a narrow and steep down slope in the middle of a curve. Not to be taken at night if possible. You needed the car to get anywhere. Then also the mattress needed an update, you could feel each of the springs. And some external door lock wasn't working.

Scenery and natural surroundings were stunning. You had all appliances and amenities to cook. You could eat inside or in a nice table outside.
