The host was exceptional. Very nice property. We were ready to get there after riding 75 km with loaded bicycles. Across the street from a great restaurant, Tosca.

Absolutely nothing

The pictures on Booking don’t do this place justice. We were pleasantly surprised with the house and it’s luxury. The host sr. Antonio is incredibly nice and helpful. The beds were super comfortable and so was the shower. We, but mostly the kids, enjoyed the swimming pool and it’s surroundings. We stayed in the big house. There are plenty of good restaurants in the area. We went to Galé beach that is very close by and even though the sign said no dogs we were told by the guard that as long as we go left or right from the restaurant it’s no problem to take the dog. The beach was beautiful and almost deserted. We absolutely loved everything about this place and will definitely be coming back.

small things like shower gel, frying oil, coffee capsuls and tea bags do not cost a lot but would be really helpful to make this experience impeccable

The doorways in the house are low, maybe 5 foot 10 inches or 177.8 cm. The shower is open at the end with no lip to stop the water. The tiles at the opening of the shower do not slope towards the drain so you have to be careful when showering so that water doesn't go everywhere on the bathroom floor. No kettle for boiling water or utensil to flip food in a frying pan. One of the lights for the element on the stovetop or hob is partially burnt out so difficult to know how hot the burner is. All very minor details. The house is cold with only a fireplace in living room that does have a vent into the second bedroom so it's the only room that gets warm. Bring warm clothes if staying in the winter! The host does provide lots of blankets so if you sleep well in a cool room or it's a hot day you'll love it.

Typical Portuguese house on the property of the host who is very kind and accommodating. The home has been renovated and is very clean. It's very close to the main road but there is very little traffic at night and the house is soundproof with very thick walls. Two bedrooms with queen size beds that were very comfortable. Bedrooms were quiet and dark so great for sleeping. Great bathroom and lots of hot water. Care has to be taken when showering to keep the water from getting the bathroom floor wet. Kitchen was large although more counter space would be nice. Lots of room in the house for 4 people but watch your head on the doorways if your tall! You'll need a car to get to the beach and the town of Melides is 8 mins away by car. Antonio was an excellent host who speaks French, German and Potugese.

Last minute reservation and everything was ready and clean. Cosy environment, house well equiped, should be perfect for a summer stay. Melides 1-2 km away with groceries and coffee place. Host was super helpful and friendly. We recomend going to closest Gale beach, super beautiful and natural.

This property is located a 2 km drive to one of the most beautiful beaches I have been to...Arriba Fóssil da Galé. The host met us at the property and was very welcoming. We loved the pool (heated for the kids) and Portuguese-style house. The bedding and towels were exceptional.

the doorposts are only 1,75m high. So be aware! the bathroom is quite small, but the shower is great and the towels hotel quality.

the accommodation offers everything we needed: enough space, comfortable beds, a clean bathroom, a well equiped kitchen, wifi and a big (shared) garden and swimmingpool with lounge chairs and toys for the kids. The owner was very nice and helpful and made us feel at home. The nearest big supermarket is a 15 minute drive and the most beautiful beaches less than 10 minutes away.

Doorways are low in the old house, so if you're tall watch your head.

Great stop while on our bike trip. We arrived on a Sunday and nothing is open near by. Luckily the owner gave us a ride to a cafe that was open.

Nothing, really liked everything about this place!

We liked everything about this place! :) Really really nice place to stay for a couple of nights or also for a month. We had time to stay here only one month but if i ever go back to Portugal i will definetly go back to stay there longer. The host was really nice, at first when we arrived then he brought us fresh sardines and bread. He also was very helpful with every question we had and helped us. Then in the morning when we were sunbathing before leaving he brought us Peruvian groundcherrys from the bushes he had in the garden. The house had everything you need, two bedrooms, living room, kitchen and very nice pool area. And there also was a welcoming wine bottle :)

Another amazing stay. A lovely little farmstead with a heated outdoor saltwater pool. Mr Antonio is rightly referred to as an amazing host. Really wanted to stay longer but he was booked out.

A fab secluded simple spot. Antonio makes it so. He showed me his vegetable garden & gave me fruits & veg for dinner. Despite being near a main road, it’s super quiet & facilities are super clean, good quality & great heated shared pool. Perfect spot for a night or more.
