How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I specifically searched for a hotel with parking, this one came up. I asked about the parking and said it is important, they said the cost is 20€ per day. Turned there is no parking, it is not even possible to drive to the hotel, the street was closed. We ended up paying 57€ for parking in a nearby public parking for ~30 hours. The room had no ventilation, so we needed to open the window to get fresh air but the street outside was noicy so we did not sleep very well.
The location in the central of the old town is great. The roof-terrace is also very nice.

There is a loud noise made by the Bluetooth speaker system in the guest rooms when you enter. I could hear this noise coming from other guest rooms while trying to sleep at night.
Absolutely beautiful hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The whole property was clean. The rooftop terrace is a beautiful place to enjoy a sunset. The hotel location is conveniently near transit and many restaurants/bars.

Everything was good for me
Location was great, very close to the centre. The room was very clean and comfortable and I really liked the speaker in the room. The staff were also lovely and even gave me a bag of biscuits when I checked out

Not that it was the hotel’s fault, but the access to the hotel was compromised by the fact that road construction on the street right next to the hotel. That made driving to the hotel and walking around the road construction challenging. However that is a temporary problem.
The hotel is in a great part of the city in terms of proximity to restaurants and interesting historical sights. The staff were extremely helpful and the room in which my friend and I stayed was well appointed and very comfortable.

Room was great, loved the location, water in the lobby every day. I felt staff went above and beyond. It rained so we couldn't go to the roof top. They opened it for us to see. Excellent location as well as it was walking distance to many attractions

One issue was the amount of building work in the direct vicinity of the hotel. I stayed in room 501 which had a lot of noise from the elevator traffic and people heading to the roof top. Sound proofing needed for this room. Also the room attached had the TV against the the wall our bed was located so you could hear everything on the TV through the wall.

What we did not like was the set up in the room. Nit enough space to store our clothing, our cosmetics in the bathroom and no place to store our luggage.
We enjoyed the service and the friendly staff. Especially Ines, Rachel, Pedro and Christiano. All very courteous, helpful and kind.

Bar needs to be properly manned when needed with staff experienced in bar work. Stairs down to ground floor precarious and to lower flor even more dangerous without use of handrail.
Breakfast good, afternoon tea great idea. Room clean and comfortable. Location was ok for where we wanted to go. Reception staff always helpful and friendly.

Occasionally could hear partying on the corner bar but it wasn’t terrible. Room is pretty well sound proofed.

Shower not designed for women. We shave our legs. There needs to be a place to at least prop up our foot.

Loved the rooftop area and the rooms were very spacious. All the facilities were very new and the location was perfect. Staff were extremely lovely and super helpful. At 2pm they also serve snacks which is most welcome after a big morning of sightseeing!

Room was very small. Parking prices were higher than the ones in the web, the hotel informed us just before the arrival.
Coffee/tea with biscuits available at breakfast room all along the day. Hotel is in an area full of restaurants
