As far as I am concerned, Octant Evora is all about sustainability, responsibility, inclusion, diversity, Nature and respect towards animals. It’s a sophisticated and innovative concept that promotes such a pleasant stay. The food from Restaurante À Terra is Portugal at its best, such rich and organic flavors!! Tastes like real food :) Expect to feel grounded and connected to Nature. If you’re up to, take time to visit the farm animals and appreciate the amazing smell of fresh air in the morning. People ( staff and guests! ) were so kind towards my dog, even though she is so shy, everyone was so kind and respectful! She was so happy during our stay. At the end, she felt like she owned the place as she was handled like a queen! Great ( I think the best!) option for people who like to take their pets on their summer adventures. the last but not the least, the staff!!!! Always always available, easy going, accessible!

Location is remote (it didn’t bother me at all) so you will need a car if you don’t want to stay put

Huge modern rooms, very stylish decoration throughout, good breakfast, very friendly staff, beautiful pools, several stunning terraces with plunge pools and magnificent views… Very calm and relaxing (although it was during the week. I guess on school holidays/weekends the ambiance may be different)

could be more generous with their water. it doesn't cost much but makes a lot of difference. Alot should change the menu, and improve breakfast menu.

Spacious room. Great for family. Has a pool in the room, strong wifi. Very quiet away from the city. Food was great although the menu stays the same, it gets boring. Besides that hotel, there is nothing much around. So if you need grocery, pick up before you get there.

We truly luved everything! Be aware this is a family centric place and therefore more children here than anywhere else we stayed. Good news, the place is designed so that adults can be away from kid commotion and noise….except meals. To compensate, just time them for when you imagine kids would be sleeping, or still asleep. As an observation I would say children in PT are better behaved and parents much more attentive than in the USA.

Absolutely everything about this place was stellar! I would highly recommend for a get away especially during a sightseeing vacation. MUCH better choice than staying in the city of Evora. It’s relaxing, the facility is beautiful and tranquil. It has everything needed for relaxation, including great massages, sauna, pool, dining. A welcome break from the hub-bub of city life and sightseeing. Staff is friendly and truly determined to create a wonderful experience, not just stay. Wish we had booked two or three nights back-back. It would still have been easy to take day trips to sites from here if sightseeing was a priority. The room was spacious and luxurious feeling. Outdoor room space provided some privacy and was very inviting. The food and wine (and gin) selection was super. Their version of crème brûlée was so beautiful w flowers and fruit and much to our delight, soup bowl sized! Breakfast was fabulous! Take time to enjoy the wonderful, fresh selection, which included part of a honey comb for fresh honey! We would come back to Portugal just to stay here!

The heating system broke on the last day and even though they attempted to fix it they were unable to. We had to light the fireplace :) I would have appreciated a more varied breakfast. There was fruit, cold cuts, some pastry, yoghurt, 2 or 3 warm dishes. It was very difficult to order an omellette or fried eggs, it was clear they were not expecting such a request. No salads, no traditional food except for the pasteis de nata, no fish. Be aware that the property is very popular with families so expect lot of children at breakfast.

The setting is lovely and quiet in the countryside. We had a villa and the view over the rolling hills was awesome. You can take a 15 minutes walk on the property grounds to the river nearby and it is beautiful. Pretty far to drive to Evora for dinner though, 15 minutes. There was dinner available at the hotel but we did not opt for it. The villa was very beautifully decorated and had all amenities. We did not use the pool since it was very cold outside.

Definitely felt that out of main season facilities were not as looked after, such as the terrace covers outside, non working steam room. Also early wake up due to bin collection not great based on our room location. Food was ok but apart from the amazing dessert didn't feel it was value for money.

Fabulous gardens and pool areas with great river walk near the property and ability to visit the animals that are kept on the property. The indoor pool was a great addition during colder weather.

The kids can enjoy the wonderful activities prepared by Daniela and Joana. Our son has so much fun, he was delighted with everything. The restaurant has so many choices for them. And the pools were the cherry on top of the cake. It was amazing to have a place where our dog could be with us. And you don't need to be worried about anything. They have a dog’s menu, a bed for our dog and they can walk in the spaces with us. And for us, it was wonderful the family activities, the grown-up entertainment. And we enjoyed so much the pool and the gym and all the serenity around us. Truly amazing and such a good experience and time we had. I just want to refer to all the team. The staff was amazing in everything, all the doubts we had and Joana (from experiences) was amazing, she helped us with everything so we can have the best experience. the breakfast is amazing

Evening meals were over priced and there aren’t many alternatives nearby.

The room was incredible, absolutely huge and with a lovely balcony and full glass side. Amazing amenities - loads of land to explore, plenty of stunning outdoor seating areas/pools, the indoor pool/spa was nice. The gym was basic but more than enough for a hotel! Breakfast was also good.

The indoor pool is so small, that is impossible to swim. Bedroom slippers are a standard amenitie in a 4 star hotel. Reception said they were out of stock... Lunch and dinner didn't offer quality enough for the prices charged.

The room had a generous area and a beautiful minimalistic decoration. Sauna was good and heated to the right temperature. Breakfast offered diversity and quality. All the common areas were carefully decorated with outstanding taste.

The hotel was missing room service for a late night snack, but we were there out of season and they mentioned they will have room service in summer. The sauna was not heated up yet in the morning at 11 even though it should have been open since 8 am.

Our stay has been overall amazing. The hotels design is the perfect mix of modern and nature. Our dog was welcomed with food, water and a bed and allowed to join us. The food was great, with fresh ingredients from the garden. The overall facilities, pools, gym and Spa are all exceptional. We also enjoyed a very relaxing massage. I can highly recommend it and will be coming back myself.

I liked everything!

Everything was amazing!! The hotel was beautiful, the staff was superrrr friendly and they have so many things to do! I loved the attention they had with our dogs (yes it’s pet friendly) and the gym was super nice!

Sadly some amenities in the heated pool area weren’t working. There’s was also a bit of an issue with the restaurant menu, as we had booked it well in advanced only to be told during check in that it was a buffet night. Not convenient when we book this hotel as it was a special occasion and looking forward to a nice meal. The food was very nice but definitely not the experience we were looking for.

The one problem we found with this hotel was it was full of young children running wild everywhere. We came here for peace and tranquillity. Whilst this is not the hotel itself is problem it is people that do not control the children and seem to think everyone loves them running around the corridors screaming at the top of their voices. I don’t know whether the hotel encourages this but for us it was not acceptable.This was a real shame as it is such a stunning hotel and would like to stay again but all those young children really are offputting.

This is a lovely hotel to stop at. It is off the beaten track and maybe put some people off. We loved it here on the room was clean and a nice balcony. Lovely grounds to walk in and seems very tranquil.
