Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyNothing 😀
Ines as the superfriendly host, the very nice house, everything is squeaky clean and the facilities are working very well. The location is very near to very nice restaurants and the central food market, but very quiet in the night. You will sleep very well in this fully recommended guesthouse 😀

United KingdomWe'd be happy to go there again, but next time I think we would opt for one of the larger rooms. The small one we booked was a bit cramped and stuffy. It has an excellent (if small) modern bathroom with shower, but the wifi signal is poor (although fine in the sitting area downstairs). There are no facilities for making tea or coffee but that is not so important, given the wide choice of nearby cafes.
The location at edge of the historic centre is ideal for tourism. There are numerous and varied restaurants and cafes in easy walking distance. The hotel itself is consciously quaint and old fashioned but none the worse for that. Inês is a friendly and most helpful hostess.

Sri LankaThis hotel was located in the Old city of Braga near the "Sé de Braga Cathedral". Walking distance to the Braga Railway Station and government Offices. [If someone looking for a place to stay in Braga, has to go to government offices, that's the best place to stay in Braga] Also, I was able to find lots of cafes, and wine shops around the hotel. And the lady who managed that property was pleasant and welcomed me warmly. Also, the owner can speak in English as well. The bed and bathroom were clean. They clean the rooms everyday morning. The room has an air conditioner, a cupboard, a television, and a chair, with a fitted small table to the wall. If you want to you can open the windows as well. Also, 2 plug points were near the bed and another one was close to the table. These plug points are European type and if you come there from outside Europe, please keep in your mind to bring the travel adapter as well. And there were small size drawers and you can put the small sized items on it. The WI-FI connection was good and its having sufficient bandwidth to do my work without any interruption.

ItalyGreat looking old-style accommodation in downtown Braga, perfect to explore the Old town on foot with its cathedrals, churches and nice atmosphere. The railway station is just 5 minutes on foot and the bus station just 10 minutes. Ines (the owner) is very gentle. Highly recommended!

United KingdomDidn’t dislike ANYTHING about the property.
My family or I could not have wished or prayed for better or nicer accommodation. The rooms were immaculate and very very spacious. The location is within the old city and absolutely perfect. I genuinely have nothing negative to say about our stay and Ines the host was the most helpful person you could ever wish to have. Nothing was too much trouble from arranging taxis to specific venues (even arranged transport for me to take my Daughter to A&E) which was way above and beyond anything I have experienced. The whole experience made a great trip into an awesome trip. Thank you Ines 👏

United KingdomI've enjoyed a very agreable stay in Braga. The guesthouse is a super centrally situated, beautifully renovated house, close to the train station (5 mins walk). The host, Inês, is a very welcoming person, and communication with her is friendly and effective. I'd recommend this guesthouse with no hesitation.

SpainThe main problem for me was the ventilation of the room. We were not able to open the windows and the ventilation in the toilet did not seem to work.
The location of the place was perfect. The place was also very unique, an old house with interesting furniture. It has a kitchen which you can use which was also great. Also the stuff was very helpful.

the house is just beautiful, Inês is a very kind and supportive host, responds to all request quickly and finds a solution. the location is great for visiting and exploring Braga, right in the edge of the historic city. Breakfast options are right around the corner and so are many many excellent restaurants and bars. The house does have a kitchen free to use for those guests who would like to cook themselves (and miss out on the amazing Portuguese cuisine :)

GreeceThis is not the property's fault, but the bar next door would sometimes get a bit noisy for a few hours in the evenings. The property itself was very quiet!
Large and comfortable room, beautifully furnished, spacious bathroom, large windows and beautiful balcony with flowers overlooking the street, a lovely view from the balcony, comfortable beds and beautiful linens, lots of closet space, beautiful hardwood floors, and a spacious lounge on the first floor with access to a large communal kitchen. The wifi was solid the entire time I was there, and there was a large flat-screen TV in the room. The room and the entire premises were spotless and cleaned regularly. Most of all though, the host, Ines, was extremely kind, friendly, and accommodating!
