This is not a negative, just a note - the single beds are a bit narrow, so if you like wider beds plan to sleep in the master bedroom or the pullout couch (which is also very comfortable).

The apartment is really comfortable, clean, and light. It's located in a nice part of town - away from the city center & noise, but still in an old part of town with cobblestone streets and old 3-4 story buildings with historic architecture. If you like walking, it's close enough to walk to the city center or walk back home at night (although there are quite a few buses that stop 100 m away from the apartment, and even more transportation options - train, tram - within 500 meters or so). We really appreciated that the kitchen was equipped with everything you'd need to cook a meal. The washing machine is also quite new & works really well and quietly. Finally, there's a small shop on the corner (50 m away) with everything you'd need, including amazing fresh fruit - papaya, mango, pineapple, etc.!

Parking rental car limited.

Both bedrooms and living room with shared balcony. Very pretty city & harbor views. Convenient location to sites, walkable to restaurants. Ubers are readily available in Lisbon.

Not the property’s fault, but it was a long way up with luggage.

We liked everything about this property. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The owner’s mother, Alzira, met us and her advice and directions were very helpful. She was very kind to us.

-Even though its not a busy area it was quite loud at night, bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper

-neighborhood is really great, not right in the centre but a lot of cute cafés, restaurants and shops. It seems more like a local area, not many tourists but still walking distance to the main sights. We loved the vibe -the apartment is really nice, clean and comfy. Simple interior but totally sufficent, great for 4 people -great value for this price -host was friendly and really good communication -view of the tejo river was really nice

A bit far from city center, but a nice neighborhood with access to groceries and restaurants.

The property is very spacious and comfortable. Plenty of room for a large family or group. The host Miguel provided a crib and high chair for our grand baby at no extra charge!

The only thing which should be definitely improved is that there are no blinds on the window between the bathroom and the bedroom – the light from the bathroom goes through to the bedroom, so your fellow travelers can wake you up using the bathroom. Listing the other things doesn't mean that I don't overall recommend the apartment (it’s the opposite), but I wanted to highlight a couple of things which weren’t so good or may be easily fixed:) Unfortunately, during our stay the construction work was being carried out on the church’s site (which was visible from the apartment's balcony) from about 8 or 9 in the morning. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to inform guests on Booking about this fact, but I know that rarely any owners do that being scared of lose the interest and or/ of having to lower the price. The roller shutters were kind of jammed – we couldn’t roll them up completely. There was something damaged in the water flow mechanism in the toilet and we had to be careful when using it. The clothes rack in double bed room was not practical, I'd change it for something else.

The apartment was very comfortable for four people – both because of the size and the amenities. We felt like being at home and there was basically everything we needed. The place was cozy and rather bright, so it was nice to spend time inside. The apartment was nicely cleaned. Beds were comfortable. There was a nice view from the windows – over the São Francisco de Paula Church’s towers and on the part of Tajo river. The location was good – the neighborhood was quiet and it was close to the bus stop (tram was a little further, but still ok). It was steeply here and there but it’s normal for Lisbon, and for us it wasn’t a problem. Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga is located nearby. Owners were honest, polite and eager to adjust to our plans (it was owner’s mother who hosted us during our stay). We could leave out luggage after check-out.

Power cut because of too many appliances running at same time. Noise from neighbours and outside.

Kitchen was well equipped. The oven was really fast. Washing machine and dishwasher available. The living room had a comfortable couch. balcony with ocean view. Shampoo and enough towels available. Miguel and his mother were really helpful when we had troubles and reacted fast.

everything was perfect! Maybe the only suggestion that I could give is to cover the bathroom window because when we turned the light on in the toilet, light pass by that and could wake up who is sleeping in the second room.

Alzira has been so kind with us, she always answered to our messages and helped us for anything we needed! Beds are very good and we loved the living room.

It is really enormous and clear apartment. Great equipment in the kitchen. It is good location to visit different parts of Lisbon. The host was very helpfull and kind. It was amazing time in this place. Thank you so much again!

The neighbours downstairs made a lot of problem for us. The wood in the apartment was creaking and we had a two year old kid who was meant to enjoy himself on vacation. But we were getting constant complaints from the people downstairs. Would not recommend if you have a toddler.

The apartment was comfortable and provided all necessities. It was very clean as well.

There are four or five flights of steps to climb to the apartment, which might be quite a lot for some people. The apartment is fine although not luxurious, but serves well for a base whilst out all day. Host welcomed us very well and made sure we had everything we needed, and gave us good local tips.

Pleasant base for exploring all areas of Lisbon. Need to use public transport to get to most areas, but there is plenty of that available. Host directed us to some very good local places to eat out in the evening, and an excellent bakery for breakfast croissants.
