Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt’s slightly further away from the old town (around 30-40 minute walk. But bolt is very cheap in Porto so it’s easy to get bolt everywhere.
Excellent gym - good breakfast - very helpful staff. The beds were also very comfortable. Very clean hotel too!

IcelandYou can almost hear everything from the next rooms so I kept waking up to my ,,neighbors” either coughing or having a phone call. Because I don’t eat meat and am lactose intolerant the breakfast wasn’t enough. Next day I had bought some stuff from the supermarket so then it was fine. But I don’t recommend it if you are eating healthy and can’t eat lactose.
It was really clean and nice overall. The staff was helpful and the gym had everything that I needed. The swimming pool was nice to lounge by and the girl working in the breakfast was so nice!

United KingdomAll I could possibly say is that the location is a bit far out of the main attractions of the city. I would say most of this time things were about a 30 - 40 minute walk. However, it’s an easy enough walk, not a huge issue and I would also highly recommend using Bolt as it was incredibly cheap. All in all, this did not really put me off but it might others.
The hotel is absolutely lovely, modern and very clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I also had a small kitchen area which was really well equipped and very useful. The staff were lovely and the area is very quiet, whilst also being a quick trip to the airport. I had a wonderful stay, thank you so much!

United KingdomI had a lovely room with loads of facilities. Massive fridge and a supermarket one minute walk meant I could make my own food as I had a microwave and loads of cooking utensils. The bed was amazing. There was always plenty of fresh towels and seperate towels use at the pool. The hotel was very quiet. I enjoyed having a plasma screen so I could watch Netflix etc. always plenty of toiletries, shower gel, body soap hand soap etc. Plenty of storage space for clothes and also a small safe which was free of charge. The gym is amazing, really clean and the equipment is top class. I had a small terrace on the ground floor which meant I could sit outside eat my lunch or just relax and could simply walk straight to the pool. The location is a 30 minutes walk from places like the ribeira etc but the bolt taxis only cost 4 euro during the week and maybe slightly more at weekends. But the taxis are highly available and takes less than ten minutes to get to where I was going. The staff where really friendly from the minute I arrived. There was a language between a few of us but it didn't stop them from helping out. The laundry service is handy, cost five euro to wash and dry there is a drying rack in the room which was ideal for certain t-shirts etc that can't go in the dryer. Things like that really show how well thought out the rooms are to accommodate the guests. Also with an iron etc and even a hair dryer which I didn't need but shows the level of facilities. The hotel is always really clean. There's always a nice smell which a lot of people don't like.but I thought it was different. I travelled alone and the breakfast was enough for two days as there was a lot for 15 Euro. There's actually a lot more going on around the hotel than I could find on google, such as a few restaurants and also an all you eat buffet a five minutes walk away. It was cheap and really nice.

MaltaThe room terrace is hardly suitable for the rainy season while the water drainage could be improved, as well as awnings would be an advantage. Paddle and pool area are exposed to rain as well, hence we couldn't use it. The door was not a proper sound-proof.
Very friendly personal. Brand new hotel. The gym is really good. Room cleanleness and facilities, design, comfort, kitchenette equipment.

United KingdomThe door handles in kitchen units came off when you opened some of them.
Clean modern well kitted out . Loved the little kitchen so I could prepare food myself rather than rely on take away food. The gym was small but has enough decent to allow you to train whilst traveling. Overall the hotel had a funky retro arty feel to it.

SpainA bit far out from city center in a residential neighborhood.
Breakfast was delivered to the room in a picnic basket left on a small table outside the room and you could make your own Nespresso coffee in the very complete kitchenette or go iinstead to the little dining area where they also serve breakfast and make great coffee (capuccino or whatever.) Snacks and coffee available all day long.. The staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Luis was particularly helpful planning our visit to Porto. and coming to our room to personally answer all our questions. Caroline also very kind and helpful. Great massages! The hotel is new, modern, efficient and decorated in very good taste. A detail was umbrellas available at the door (It rained the whole time we were there).

United KingdomThere was nothing to dislike Continental breakfast was available but we didn’t have which I believe was a basket brought to your room
Superb large room with very comfortable bed, kitchen facilities and good sized bathroom. Great secure underground parking, able to get BMW x5 into. We were greeted by an excellent member of staff ? Liuz on his first day, who showed us around the facilities and spent time explaining lots of different places to see and do in Porto, which was exceptionally helpful. It is approximately 15 mins walk to the casa de musica where we caught the metro into Porto itself.

SwitzerlandIf I have to be very picky, the fragrance in the hallway was quite intense, though it seems like having fragrant things is a thing in Portugal or Porto - they are everywhere. Also, if someone wants to live in the hustle or bustle of downtown Porto, you might not be at the right place.
Really nice hotel, a little bit outside the city centre. It was very clean and staff was friendly. My partner really enjoyed the massage and the gym was extremely well equipped, I liked it a lot (probably biggest and best equipped hotel gym I ever had). They have a pool with some sun chairs, which is great to hang out after walking around in the city. Overall vibe is very nice, would recommend it to someone who is looking for a quiet place to visit the city. Walking downtown is roughly a 30min walk, though there are small eateries in 15min walking distance.
