Early check in is a problem because there is no one to open the door for you or keep your luggage but if you request in advance then they will arrange a luggage storage after 10am until check in.

Staff is vey welcome. They will wait until you come if you are little late than check in window. Rooms are spacious and airy but due to building structure there is no lift facility. There is a guest kitchen and terrace to eat in open air or in common room with TV Big market square is nearby. Station is also walkable. Bed and mattress is very comfortable. Blanket is also very fluffy and cozy

The staffs there are really nice. I love them so much . Always consider about the costumes. The building is like wooden building so at night if someone coming then you can hear the noise. Good location near the metro. By the way I love this place.

Only one electric ring plus microwave and sandwich toaster for cooking. Due to layout of building, the kitchen and its facilities were somewhat small for the number of guests.

Hot showers, friendly, helpful staff, walled garden with fruit trees, herbs, and tables and chairs, en-suite toilet and basin in dorm, location near centre with local small shops, supermarket, launderettes, access to hostel all day and no limit on number of days of visit. Overnight silence. Talking to others staying there. General cleanliness, with friendly, efficient and hard-working cleaning staff. The bedding provided, with white sheets and duvet covers, plus a warm blanket as the weather was cold when I arrived.

Security is quite minimal. We managed to walk in without seeing any staff or anyone stopping us at around 9am, and walked all around the place trying to figure out how to check in lol. The door to my room also did not close properly :( The kitchen is located in a separate mini building, so you have to walk outside, which is interesting.

Incredible price, and pretty good location - you can get pretty much everywhere on foot, including the flixbus bus station. The toilet was clean, and all the facilities were decent.

The kitchen is outside and quite small. I was there in January and it rained, place is not set to deal with the humidity. It was wet everywhere all the time and the room was very cold. Now one is at the front desk in the morning...

Not much really, the shower booths are a bit tiny for big northern Europeans :) they could invest in a couple more induction burners for the kitchen for convenience

I really think that the kitchen needs improvements. There is only one cooking pit for the entire hostel which is far too little. The place probably needs about 5-6 cooking pits at minimum. People simply said that they avoided cooking because of the time needed to wait for the cooking pit to free up. Also a bigger fridge is needed as it is hard to store your stuff (potentially with a labelling system so the fridge stays organized). The kitchen also needs a little bit more cups and supplies. The cleanliness of the upper cabinets in the kitchen can also be improved.

Very friendly staff who were very welcoming. I think the beds were quite comfortable. Really liked the fact that there were real sheets. Also generally the cleanliness of the place was on point. The location is quite good, walkable from TIC and also to the main tourist area. A Lidl and Pingo Doce are both about a 6-7 minute walk.

Even that reconstruction/ renovation was only 1-2 months done, at lot of things did not work anymore. Cheapest quality available. Eg doors from shower and WC. No hooks in bath, WC or rooms. No boards in bath to put things on. Only 1 smallest table in one tiny room for rest. No indoor eating place/space.

Obviously there are establishment issues ( e.g. not possible to do laundry - the washing machine and dryer were delivered as I was leaving 🫤 , the street sign was not yet erected etc) but these are temporary things...

The manager and family are excellent people, charming and properly helpful. The hostel is newly established, so freshly painted etc, and the rooms are comfortable - and quiet for a centre city location. Adequate kitchen and a small garden for dining etc ( if not raining 🤔)8

This is a very new hostel, therefore it is newly decorated and very clean. When I was there it was very quiet because it had only just opened. It's on a good street, central but without the street noise of other hostels. Friendly staff.
