It really is located in a very isolated area - no quick access to additional sites, groceries or other restaurants. You will need a car to get around if staying there for more than a few days.

Wow what a place to stay. The facility itself is impressive but the views even more impressive. The big challenge is getting there. A bit out of downtown Lamego and not easy to find even using Google maps. Missed the turn off three times - better signage would definitely help. Long winding road to get up to the facility so driving to get there late at night - need to be careful

The breakfast was really good, I sent an email in advance asking about gluten free options and they arranged gluten free bread for me. We stayed in a bungalow and it was amazing. The heated pool is also a great addition, we visited in April and it was still chilly outside. Highly recommended!

The stay in the Bungalow is not optimal during stormy days and was very loud inside. It gets quickly cold without AC heating on, which dries the air. After 18:00 there is nobody there and you have to drive somewhere else to eat something. There were no wine glasses or bottle opener in the room for example which would have been nice to have while admiring the view from the terrace in the evening.

The view is very nice, it was quiet area and the covered heated pool was perfect during rainy days. The breakfast was also good.

Going in, you have to understand you are at 2,700 feet up, so it's a drive from down in the valley. Because of that we did some of the attractions at 1,600 feet which there are quite a few including Quinta de St Eufemia which was great, as well as the espumante producers near Lamego. There is a 12th century monestary and impressive church as well.

The facility is really impressive. It's really a wedding destination, but it is very beautiful and everyone was great to us.

Everything was beautiful, the service was really good, everything super clean and well organized. Me and my girlfriend really appreciate the plane. Bonus: the view is unbelievable!

But the service is bit awful. First of all because the staff doesn’t speak English. Also you can get the service, the food or snack only in the middle of the day. After 17h all the staff go home and close the hotel. You can by your own drive to the city to the restaurant or to the shop (it’s quite far). The breakfast is ok, but bit poor for such high price.

The setting was like nothing I've experienced before. The view from our balcony of the Duro Valley was like the view from an airplane! The beds were so comfortable! The modern cottage was unique. The pool was clean and beautiful. The complimentary breakfast buffet was superb.

The hotel only offers breakfast so you need to go back to the town centre (15min drive by car, impossible by foot) to get lunch/dinner. Would be good to know beforehand so you can stop for lunch/dinner first and then go to the hotel instead.
