Water in indoor pool could do with some cleaning. Breakfast not up to par with the rest of the facility. Restaurant closed so we had to drive down to the city for dinner.

Amazing view from the bungalow, no doubts about that. No doors to the bathroom, it is a choice ;) Staff in general helpfull - some language barrier present but they make it work. No problems with the gate/parking. Whole grounds kept in great shape.

We were unclear on whether or not the pool and other amenities were open as there was no indication that they were from staff.

We loved the bungalow, from its secluded nature to its stunning views! The property was beautiful as well, offering numerous great spots for views of the Douro.

Unfortunately the restaurant and bar was closed so we had to leave the accommodation to go for a drink and a meal.

The location is absolutely stunning, a paradise! The staff made it extra special by preparing a romantic touch to our bungalow when we arrived, what a great surprise! They especially uncovered the heated pool for me so I could have a swim in the morning.

The pool was much smaller than expected and full of families with young children. There were ants in the bathroom. The bed was quite hard. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed so we had to drive the windy roads into town for dinner.

We stayed in a bungalow for 2 nights and it was amazing. Most spectacular view I have ever had from a hotel room. One night we ate dinner on our balcony so we could watch the colours on the valley change as the sunset, and one morning we got up early to see the sunrise over the valley. Breakfast was delicious, just wish I could've eaten more. And the glass of port on arrival was also very nice. Heaps of parking.

Amazing location and view from our bungalow, the entire Douro valley is at your feet. Very good facilities in the room. Delicious food and lovely staff at hotel restaurant. Super value for money, we highly recommend!

The only major complains from us would be the mattress, which was too firm for our liking, and the location of our bungalow in particular, due to the lack of privacy from guests using the pool.

The facilities are wide open, offering a fantastic view over the city. As part of our stay we had access to a remarkable and plentiful breakfast. The bungalow was confy, and included a large variety of free amenities. The property is well preserved and taken care of. Last but not least, the lodging is ran by a stellar staff.

The evening menu was only served for two. I could not eat meat and my husband does not like fish. So rather than sharing a dish we had to order two dishes which made the meal expensive. Very little English spoken and staff in restaurant were surly. No hot water for a shower.

The room was huge, clean and comfortable with great views over the river and valley. The breakfast was plentiful.

Their listing states 1.2 miles to city center, in reality (measured x 4 by taxi) 6km (3.7 miles) this is all uphill. The entire stay we had to use taxi. No telephone in the room even though they have room service ( told to go to front desk to order but front desk was not always manned (told that everyone of their staff leave the property for 1-1/2 hour lunch every day and that no one can be reached during that time period) Room had 1 desk chair and a layflat lounge chair. Hard to get comfortable. When I told the front desk staff that the room wasn’t comfortable and that we needed another chair, they didn’t care. Asked for some sort of table ( my Wife paints daily) they said nothing. No one should stay here unless they have a car. We didn’t feel we needed a car because of the supposed short distance to town. The customer means nothing to them!!!

We arrived at 530pm and by 6pm the reception had closed and there was no one around to ask any questions. There was no bar or restaurant (despite the description stating there was room service), and with the hotel being fairly remote, this meant we had to drive back into town (15 mins) to have food. Which is a shame as the view is so beautiful at the hotel we wanted to make the most of it. There were also no facilities in the room (such as glasses) to have a drink of your own. when we went to check out at the end of our stay, the reception had closed too. Although beautiful and high quality- we felt this venue is more catered to weddings than hotel guests. It’s a shame as if they had a few more facilities on site this would be the perfect venue for a relaxing few days away.

The view is incredible and the quality of the superior bungalow was excellent. Waking up to sunrise from our balcony was beautiful. the breakfast was excellent and a lot of choice of food.

The restaurant of the hotel was closed although it showed opened in Google maps, so we didn't had where to have dinner in the evening.In the morning the smoke alarm rang in the whole facilities waking up everyone due to a problem in the kitchen

I think we were unlucky with our bungalow (no 7). The room was dusty, quite some dead bugs on the floor and a finger nail om the bed. Shower head kept falling off the standard and shower water all of the sudden went either really hot or really cold. WiFi wasn't working. We alerted the staff and they said it was strange as we should have a router (which after checking was missing). The other bungalows didn't have a problem. After that, they didn't really resolve the issue - other then telling us to wait and that it basically was our problem. The restaurant was closed because they didnt have that many guests, they did provide the delivery service from their restaurant in Lamego (for which they charged 10 euro extra). We paid extra to stay in the bungalow, so overall not what we expected and not really good value for the money.

Amazing view from the property, which is located on the top of the mountain. Beautiful resort. Easy parking. We had the bungalow, and from inside the room, the view is also great. The room setup was nice, pretty bathroom and big bed. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good.

Unfortunately the hotel was disappointing. The pool was not even open until we asked for it. After that, we saw that it was dirty, so not usable at all. Wifi was not working (still didnt get fixed after asking at the reception). Also we booked the hotel, because they claimed to have drinks and snacks in the afternoon. After calling the number, which was there to order, nobody answered. Went to the reception and it was closed. No service at all. The only good thing about our stay was the view from the hotel, which is just stunning. The rest was really disappointing. Would not visit that place again.
