We spent 3 days over Christmas at Pena D’Água and the experience was magical! It was our 2nd time staying and this time we brought our family & puppy to spend Christmas at this lovely hotel. On the first night, my husband couldn’t sleep because of noise from a leak in the bathroom, and the next day we were promptly upgraded to a better room. We had Christmas Eve dinner at the hotel’s restaurant Açafrão, which in our opinion, was better than some Michelin Star meals we have had. The attention to detail, the quality of the food, the service… everything was incredible. The coziness of the hotel and friendliness of the staff is unmatched. The team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was super special. A special thank you to Francisco and Nuno for making our stay so incredibly pleasant. Their professionalism and kindness made all the difference! Also, if you want a relaxing massage during your stay, we highly recommend Margarida, she’s amazing! The restaurant of the hotel was closed and the offers that existed in Covilhã were not the best ones. Also, the car parking of the hotel is paid, 15€ per day and it was not covered. The price for dogs was also 15€ per night. The fact that the staff of the hotel was different every day didn’t help with communication. Drinks and food in the bar was a little overpriced.

The hotel is very beautiful and clean. They accept dogs, which is an extra for a boutique hotel. Usually hotels that accept dogs are not that good and clean and this one was perfect. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. Very fresh and with a lot of diversity. Luís from the bar was super kind and made us very good hot chocolates.

We recently spent 3 nights at the Pena D'Agua while touring Portugal, and the stunning Serra Da Estrela national park which the hotel is located close to. The hotel’s tasteful decor and cleanliness, plus the friendliness of the staff impressed us. The rooms were impeccably maintained, and the overall ambiance was inviting. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for beautiful, clean, and good priced accommodation. Also, a special thank you to Carlota for going out of her way to help us when we had car issues.

We had the most incredible honeymoon experience at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. The room was beautifully decorated with flowers, and we were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of champagne. The level of service and hospitality here is truly outstanding. The staff members are attentive and genuinely caring, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was perfect. The cleanliness of the hotel was also impeccable, which added to our comfort. One standout moment was when the receptionist took the time to plan an entire trip for us the next day. Their thoughtful recommendations made our day memorable and hassle-free. The hotel is very nicely decorated, giving a very cozy feeling and a bit of luxury. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The connection to the pool and spa area was super convenient, making it comfortable and easy to go back and forth from pool to room. The neighbouring restaurant, Açafrão was amazing, recommended by the hotel. We'll definately stay here again.

Very nice boutique hotel high up in the town of Covilha. It was very comfortable and I gave to say that the food was exceptional. My wife and I had one of the best meals that we can remember, the venison was superb. The only negative I Dan think of is that secure parking is not cheap but there us very little space so only a few vehicles can be accommodated.

It’s a pity we were only there for one night because the hotel was beautiful, everything was perfect especially the staff . We had secure parking for our motorcycle and a lovely breakfast, the decor was a nice change from the usual sterile looking hotels in Spain and Portugal .

Check in should be a quick process. People just want to get to their rooms. if there is a reservation, everything should be ready at the desk for a quick check in. The lady was lovely and friendly but we were traveled and haggard. just make it sweet and quick.

Beautiful boutique hotel located in city center Covilhã. Walking distance from many good restaurants and the fabric museum. Spacious rooms. The indoor pool is ideal to relax before dinner! Breakfast is diverse and filled with regional fresh products. Don't skip any of the local produced cheeses.
