We loved the room and the view. Just exceptional. Nice and clean. Loved the robes! Loved our terrace. The beds were a bit firm for my sleep but overall everything was just lovely. Would definitely stay here again.

Nothing could have been better than it already was.

Stunning location with fabulous access to the ocean for swimming and a lovely pool and sun terrace. Food was absolutely stunning. The breakfast was exceptional in every way and the poolside and terrace bars are refined. There's a lot more to this hotel than meets the eye - we feel that both the signature photo and the description on booking.com doesn't do the hotel justice.

Voices from the neighbor room are heard and that interrupted our experience a bit

We made a reservation for dinner that didn't get communicated from the reception to the restaurant, so we were turned away when we arrived as they were full.

We had a sea view suite at the top of the hotel. Incredible view. Very comfortable and clean. The location was perfect.

The restaurant is lovely but the food served was average. Also service was a bit slow.

Not much to add here but the coffee needs improvement. `

The room was excellent - very clean, spacious, and well-kept modern. When we checked in we got upgraded to a better room with views directly over the ocean - absolutely fantastic! The staff were very helpful, always hands-on with anything we needed; they even prepared a cake with a lovely message for my fiancee's birthday. The breakfast was very good and well diversified to suit all tastes.

The staff was really friendly, location is great, as hotel is right by the ocean. In the evening the sound od waves is the only thin one hears. Self service buffet breakfast was great, there is a lot of choises. When weather was good, you can eat on the terrace. And semi circular room gives beautiful views of the ocean and cliffs near Funchal. Would come again!

The hotel was ideal for us, we enjoyed the walk into Funchal - it took about 20 minutes. The views from our hotel and the room were stunning, absolutely wonderful. It is easy to get cabs from the outside of the hotel, and a bus tour from the top of the road. The cocktails in the hotel bar were lovely, and all of the facilities were great. The room was a great size, no noise (apart from the ocean which was beautiful!) Would highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing to complain about . Excellent throughout

The best part of this place is its location. Booking a sea view . Nothing beats going to sleep and waking up to the sound of waves. The beautiful sunsets that you can watch from the comfort of the balcony. The staff at this hotel are the warmest I have met in my travels. Super chilled vibe and nothing is too much trouble for them . Thank you all for making our stay very relaxing and comfortable. Hope to visit again soon!

We were told by staff that public parking was free on weekends. We fed the meter with coins Monday -Friday and stopped due to “free weekend” parking, but were ticketed for “30-150 euros”. It left a bad taste.

Everything, I would have to say out of all the hotels I've ever stayed at, this is my favourite. The views from the rooms are spectacular and the breakfasts were delicious. You can tell that all the staff are proud to work there. Just superb!!

Great location right on the seafront, with good swimming pool. Spacious room with plenty of storage and a lovely sea view. Very good buffet breakfast. Quality restaurant for evening meal, but also close to other excellent restaurants. Relaxed ambience in this slightly older style hotel with modern facilities suited us very well, we would happily go back there (and hope to next year!)
