Despite having confirmed our intended slot for breakfast (which is a must, given their restaurant is so small, they book you in between 7-8, 8-9 or 9-10am; when we presented at 8am on our first morning, we were accused of arriving too soon, and not having booked with reception. This was not the way to treat customers, and it spoiled my mood for breakfast (we eventually got a place, but the greeter wandered around looking for places that could be freed up!). It was a dreadful experience, and this really should not happen. The assumption was the customer made a mistake, when actually it was not us. Regardless, the way we were treated in those few minutes really spoiled my morning, and day, and even after double checking our breakfast slot for the next day, we were still anxious as we arrived for breakfast, at our newly changed 7am slot (we decided as there was a shortage of some breakfast at 8am, starting at 7 would be better). Also, things like cups for tea were not being rotated quickly enough, so you had to dig to the back of a low shelf to find them (it would have been OK if you were 3' tall); no clean teaspoons available so I had to ask, and weirdly the waitress then sought to replenish the dish with spoons BEFORE handing one to me, and then bringing me one. There are ways to annoy a customer, and they managed to do that for me.

The room was lovely, with a huge balcony around the front of the room with views of the sea, past buildings etc. The pool was in view too, and we stayed at a quiet time, so it was lovely. The area is quiet too, so there was no external noise at night time.

The hotel was really comfortable and beautiful, but the staff is the highlight of all. Excellent service, Rodrigo in reception was super helpful and friendly every time we approached him, so it was all the staff.

Difficulties with access to the sauna and gym.

Good location of the hotel, excellent condition of the room and view from the window and balcony. Excellent breakfast, there is an opportunity to use the swimming pool on site.

Choosing this hotel was mainly due to the pool and sauna. Out of 9 days of stay, the sauna worked only on the first day. And even then, when we were sitting there, the lights went out. We had to leave in pitch darkness. Luckily, no one got burned by the stove! On all other days, it was turned off and not working. The heated pool was also hot only on the first day of the stay. All other days it was cold. A cold pool. Without the possibility to warm up in the sauna. Great. Judging by the comments, this is a constant issue. And no one is planning to fix the problem. It's more convenient for them to placate guests with promises that 'it will be fixed tomorrow', without actual resolution.

The receptionists are very responsive, pleasant in communication, ready to help. The cleaners did an excellent job! Breakfasts are hearty.
