Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The staff is very warm and I got a detailed explanation of how everything worked with the keys and my hotel room. I slept very well on the bed and the shower is great. The place is very nice, just outside of the city center. And a tram stops right in front of their front door.

United StatesThe tv was a smart tv that didn’t connect to our phones or have Netflix, Hulu, etc. I believe they are working to fix it.
The property was above an amazing restaurant but even though we were one level above, the room was sound proof. The space was large and well equipped. Even got some welcome wine!

We loved our stay here. Everything was exceptional with great attention to detail. Staff were dedicated and helpful. A complimentary bottle of wine was available on arrival with snacks and very much appreciated. The extra large bed was luxurious and the ultimate in comfort. A coffee machine was provided in the room and breakfast in the restaurant was delicious!

United StatesEverything was so great but a room service option would be nice rather than walking down to the restaurant. We started to get into PJ’s and relax and realized food and wine would be great but then had to get dressed to go down for the wine. I might have been able to text reception and ask but I didn’t so I can’t be positive it wasn’t an option. I would still absolutely recommend this hotel
Everything! It was secure from the street and you need to ring the bell or have a key to get in. The staff were amazing, especially Suellen and Mayara. It’s right across from the waterfront and close to many restaurants that were easy to walk to. Sue gave us a great recommendation for brunch. You can text anytime while reception is open with any questions. There is a restaurant I’ve read great reviews about but we didn’t eat there. I was able able to get a bottle of wine to bring to the room and was told I could even order food and bring it up to the room. THE ROOM! So beautiful with a king bed that was so comfortable. There was a big cozy couch, robes and slippers for the gorgeous bathroom. We had giant glass doors that opened on to a spacious shared terrace with only one other room. They had other rooms with private terraces and ocean views as well. So many other little details including an espresso machine, teas and biscuits, a big glass bottle of fresh water and glasses.

United Kingdom- You can hear the restaurant pretty loudly on a Friday night (or presumably whenever it's busy) which if you don't have earplugs I can imagine would be fairly disruptive to anyone trying to get an early-ish night. - Some issues when staying up in the rooms beyond the restaurant separate to the main hotel getting blocked on the stairs with the door and not knowing where the main reception is. Could do with improving their process here to ensure no-one is left in an awkward situation leaving in the morning and can hand keys back easily. - Wifi was a little slow at points, but not a major issue
We had a super warm and inviting welcome when we arrived at the hotel and were shown up to our room (behind the restaurant) and shown our free bottle of wine, and vouchers for complimentary drinks. The hotel also set you up in a whatsapp group so you can message them at any time with questions which feels like a really nice touch. They even rescued me with a travel adapter on my last day which was incredibly helpful! The room was beautifully appointed - even the double room I booked affords a lot of space to unpack and move around, as well as tasteful decor, nice shower, big TV, balcony and robes. The bed was super comfy and the blinds blocked out the light well. The hotel is also right at the end of the old tram line, and close to the beach which is nice for a walk by the sea if you don't mind being a little bit further from the centre of Porto. Go and get some delicious sushi up at Wish!

United KingdomThe only improvement could have been some USB plugs, as charging electronics via their plug sockets with an adapter seemed to take much longer than usual.
We booked the superior room with courtyard terrace. The room was HUGE. Large TV, sofa and bed too. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Room was cleaned every day and some lovely additions - dressing room, robe, slippers, coffee machine with pods, biscuits, and complementary bottle of wine. Restaurant downstairs was lovely too. There were also other very good restaurants nearby (turn left out of the hotel). Good links to the centre via the tram or bus.

The staff were lovely, friendly and went out of their way to help. We even had a bottle of wine in the room when we arrived and a free drink at the bar. We were given ideas of where to visit and eat which were fantastic. Carol in the bar makes the best Sangria but all of them were so good at what they did and always had a smile and a chat. Well done everyone we will be back.👍💖

United KingdomVery dimly lit room. More lights needed. Apart from the flashing smoke alarm/sensor point mounted in the middle of the bedroom ceiling which didn't make for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was ok. But no choice offered. Much the same every morning and you get what you're given.. Tiniest bread rolls I've ever seen and overall not great value. A menu with options to select from or even buffet style would be better, although can understand the hotel's need to manage costs. There are a number of great restaurants within 5 mins walk with better options.
Beautifully decorated throughout and great food (lunch and dinner) served in the restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great seafront location and Foz is a lovely area to stroll around. 20 min leisurely tram ride (1 or 18) from the hotel doorstep into Porto centre (8 EUR return). 10 mins taxi. (6 EUR). .

CanadaNo parking. A bit loud a night.
Amazing location. The hosts were patient and extremely responsive. It is a bit loud bc of the restaurant but that closes at 11 and we found closing the main door helped. The place was clean and comfortable. The location for us was absolutely outstanding and the trolley comes right outside the building. Best not to have a car. But if you do, you can park out front, leaving NOTHING in your car- ours was broken into. Lovely place- we would absolutely go back and stay longer.
