The location was excellent if you want to enjoy a view from the hotel of Falesia beach or use the hotel's dedicated path to the beach. The breakfast was the best of our entire stay in the Algarve, having moved from various accommodations. Although the hotel seemed full, there were plenty of chairs for the pool and garden area, and there was no shortage of staff in all aspects of the running of the hotel. We were met with an upgrade to our room and had the buffet dinner one evening which had many local fish and seafood choices, and the service was excellent.

It is slightly away from some other attractions, so if you are planning an Algarve trip this might not be the best location. But if you are looking at a place to stay and relax, that is it for you.

Beautiful tradicional hotel with amazing views, friendly staff and a wonderful breakfast! We used it to chill after our wedding and it was everything we needed.

The rooms are looking tired and need updating, which they are doing on an ongoing process. Hotel need a lick of paint.

It is a large clean, well maintained hotel with friendly staff in a cliff top location overlooking the sea.

Very nice hotel - staff friendly and helpful Place was really clean and staff very polite. We only did bed and breakfast as there are lots of restaurants and pubs in the area Would definitely recommend it to friends

Very clean, lovely staff, great sea view, amazing breakfast! The pool was large but very cold as we went at the start of May. The seagulls are very naughty but entertaining.

It was a shame to have to pay an additional cost to use the sauna and steam room each time, the sauna also didn’t get hot enough but everything else was brilliant

Beautiful beaches and access, lovely pool and amazing huge beds! Breakfast was also really good quality. All hotel/reception and dining staff were extremely friendly and helpful when we asked for any travel tips around the Algarve. We had such a relaxing lovely stay and would come back again!

Fresh fruit selection at breakfast could have been better. Parasols at the pool were not fitting into bases properly and were being blown around - likely to cause serious injury !!

We stayed in room 155 and the bathroom was pretty smelly. Also the food from both the breakfast and lunch was not so good quality.

The resort has a great location and outdoor space. The pool, the garden, and the view were amazing.

I requested a nice room as it was my sister’s (whom I shared room with) hen weekend. I wasn’t expecting see view as I didn’t pay for it but north facing room was disappointing! Also I asked that my other sister’s room be located close but we were 3 floors apart!

Pool wasn't heated, so not usable. Bar lacks "energy", looks dated or being part of a retirement facility. Music choices, particularly live music was geared toward non-existing-patrons. Means no local music and atmosphere. The result was that the place was mostly empty. While the breakfast choices and dinner-buffet choices are really good, the setup creates the feeling of a cattle drive where too many folks try to access the buffet and at the same time people are entering or leaving the restaurant using the same small aisles...

Breakfast is wonderful, facility overall is very nice, wonderful staff, awesome location. Pool area very nice, overall areas to rest and enjoy the views of the coast are absolutely beautiful.

We’re so glad we stayed in PortoBay Falesia again. There’s so easy access to restaurant and the wonderful beach. It was so quiet and relaxing place. Highly recommended!!!

Just a note: Lots of stairs to the beach if you have mobility issues.

Beautiful area, the view of the ocean and red cliffs are stunning! Large, clean pool and lots of loungers, but we went in April, so maybe busy in the summer. The pool was cold, but I still went in and enjoyed it. The hotel is close to restaurants and a small town with some shops and bars. Driving distance to Albufeira. Private beautiful beach area for the hotel, however, lots of stairs down. But no worries, lovely beach within walking distance. The restaurant served delious food and staff was warm and friendly. Breakfast was top notch! They made omelettes to order, fried eggs. Bacon, sausages, fruit, pancakes...I could go on and on! And your own pot of coffee and milk for your table was a nice touch. The view eating breakfast was glorious. We stayed in a standard room with balcony and a sea view. We could sit on the large balcony and just take it all in. I also liked the little hangers outside to put your wet bathing suits to dry. Our room was standard, but clean, and a nice, spacious bathroom. Fluffy towels, comfortable bed. Good housekeeping. A fridge, safe and I can't remember, but thought there was a kettle or coffee maker. They had entertainment in the bar that was maybe a bit cheesy for a younger crowd. I actually really enjoyed it because it was nice to stay in the hotel in the evening and I thought the music had good variety. We stayed for 3 nights, but didn't want to leave!
