How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We loved this place, it seems it was recently renovated so the facilities look pretty new and the rooms are very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even contact us a few days before the stay to arrange everything and provide additional information. Location was in a quiet neighborhood and 25 mins walk from historic center. And a block from the subway, so it was great. Our room had a little terrace, which was great to relax once in the hotel. The shower is big, not found in every hotel. We would definitely be back when in Porto.

Lovely comfortable room , room was cleaned daily , staff were very helpful and made us feel very welcome . Breakfast was wonderful with such great choice of fresh tasty food

Climbing up the stairs. I should have requested for a lower floor. Near to metro station Marques which goes to Sao Bento, the happening place.
Great breakfast. Very good communication with Kiane. She's also helpful. Jesus too.

Really nothing!
Good in interaction with Kiane and staff. The establishment was spotless. Also great breakfast and coffee in the room. Centrally located near to the metro that goes straight to Sao Bento. Highly recommended. Thank you to all!

Stunning property! We had a big room that was immaculately presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the delicious breakfast was an added bonus. The property is set in a great area, a short walk to Marquês station with nearby cafes and other facilities.

A reasonable walk downtown, however close to metro if you prefer especially for walking back up at the end of the day, however we managed walking easily.
Easy to find, helpful host with suggestions for other activities. Clean spacious unit, everything we needed for a city stay. Free parking on arrival and nearby parking building for weekdays.

I should have asked for a room facing the yard, as being a light sleeper I could hear every car that was passing by the hotel at night. I would say, approximately 1- 2 cars per minute around 12am.
Everything was great! The woman at the reception was very welcoming. My room had a coffee machine, coffee pods, and even 2 chocolates. The bathroom was well-stocked with disposable toothbrushes, shower caps, and shower gels. The location is excellent; it's only a 20-minute walk to the city center and 45 minutes to the Ribeira waterfront. Additionally, the metro station is just 2 minutes away.

The receptionist is vey friendly and helpful. Clear instructions were given for self check in so all went well with our check in at the hotel. Situated in a quiet neighborhood. Near Metro so it is easy to go around Porto. Breakfast was also good.

It is great place to stay. We would prefer to stay there if we visit Porto again. Location was great, very close to metro station. Breakfast was reasonable.

Charming butique hotel hidden inside the red door! Beautifully decorated with lovely pictures and ornaments. Lovely room and bathroom, lovely lady greeted us. We walked to town via St Catherine road - about 25 minutes to reach the bridge or sometimes we used Bolt cars - excellent, reliable and cheap! Absolutelly recommend this place! Thank you ! The location was good, close to the metro station. Quite a few cafes in the neighbourhood. We opted to be a bit away from central Porto as we like quietness during the nights. This was perfect. Communication was super easy and fast with the host. Very kind, helpful and friendly lady. Breakfast was adequate for us as we just need bread, cheese and most important a coffee. The pastries, cakes, fruits, yoghurts etc were nice.

Hotel a 25-minute walk from the city center, but very close to the subway stop, so not a big issue.
Clean and cozy room with everything you need available and new furniture. Friendliness of the host and promptness to solve any request. I would recommend this structure!

Could be awkward for people with mobility issues as a lot of stairs. There is a downstairs room though.
Spotless rooms, excellent communication, and ideal location. Breakfast is great value, too.
