Great location, lovely views from the hotel into the port. It's a relatively short (and picturesque) walk into town. I loved having my breakfast as the trams rattled past outside the hotel. Short walk in the opposite direction (to town) and there are lots of little bars and restaurants where fado music can be heard. I'd definitely stay here again.

Location, view and breakfasts were perfect. We were even given some pastries and fruit to take away on our last day as we had to leave early before the start of breakfast. Staff were exceedingly polite, friendly and helpful.

Rooms a little small, but the well laid out for the size.

The breakfast was fabulous. Having access to the coffee machine 24-7 was very nice. When we came back for a second stay at the end of our trip, we were greeted with a "welcome back" treat (wine and charcuterie board), which was unexpected and much appreciated.

Ideally situated in the Alfama district. Tram 28 passes right outside. Busses easy to catch too. Hotel clean, modern and lovely sraff.

Not the best neighbourhood for those with mobility issues. (Cobblestones, hills, relatively long waits at peak times for trams). No problem for us though.

Fabulous location. Great helpful staff with lovely welcoming touches. Great breakfast. Small but perfectly appointed rooms. Wonderful viewpoint across the road. Catch the historic tram outside to the city or into Alfama neighbourhood.

Our air conditioning was not fully functioning, we had to mention it everyday and still felt like the issue was never taken serious or addressed. The iron we requested was delivered to the wrong room and then taken back the next day, without asking if we were finished. One of the front desk staff was really crabby our second morning

They left us some wine and other goodies in our room on arrival. Additionally the first serving being free from the mini-frig was a nice surprise. The courtyard was a nice place to sit for breakfast and people watch. Quiet for sleeping even though we were in the heart of the action!

Staff were very friendly, helped with any request and had great recommendations for food. Lovely little touches like a gift in the room, complimentary mini bar and all day refreshments downstairs. Breakfast was of a high standard, great timings (7-11am) and set in the most beautifully designed room with a terrace and open windows to see the world go by. Location is in the old town, most places walkable and fantastic surroundings.

The building is beautiful, Lovely Design and furniture both traditional - historical and modern, the exceptional location and view, the friendly and helpful staff , the excellent breakfast - a real treat, the feeling of being in a home, being able to walk everywhere from Alfama, the cleanliness.

The breakfast spread was absolutely fantastic. The staff were friendly and very helpful whenever we had questions to ask. The location is perfect, it gets busy and lively during the day but is really quiet at night.

We liked everything about the property and exceeded our expectations. The service was excellent as was the breakfast, the afternoon wine in the comfortable street level patio - great people watching - The location was perfect. Room was very comfortable, shower was great and the outside patio overlooked a nice garden (we were on the 3rd floor). highly recommend.

The property and staff were phenomenal. Breakfast was one of the best we had in Europe, the staff was helpful, friendly and attentive, and all property amenities were fantastic. We particularly loved the location in Alfama, and would definitely stay here again.
