A perfect stay - 2BR house in a small village set in a spectacular location. Top notch spa, excllent restaurant with the best coffee and omelettes we had in Portugal. The people who run the place are extremely nice and hardworking

Some details could be better: - Shower handle support was partially broken, leaking and not repaired even asked twice. - There was a thin lateral water jet coming out of the nozzle of the tap, wetting the sink support, if you open the tap too much. It was a bit annoying and not repaired even after notice at reception. - The shower cabin has no door, which is comfortable for the entry, but wetted the bath room a bit, especially the floor towel. Disagreeable for the second bathing person. - The door of the bathroom was difficult to close and had to be slammed or pulled with additional effort, so much that the handle came off to our hands. This was repaired quickly during our absence on the day of the claim. - We had to guess some functions of the electronic and electrical devices. Copies of instructions manuals could help.

People are very nice and helpful. We arrived in the middle of the night (around 03:45) due to flight trouble and they left us instructions for pick-up of keys. We really appreciated the offered solutions. Thanks Ernani. Our luggage arrived 2 days later and they received them on our absence. Perfect! There are around 10 or 12 small bungalows, arranged internally like apartments, with terraces and outrageous views over the valley. There are modern kitchen equipment, with induction hearth, stove, dish washer and also some pans. If you are a cook you will miss some pans and additional equipment like mixers, but for usual cooking it is sufficient. There is a heated internal pool, very nice as we stayed 5 days in autumn and had a lot of rain, wind and low temperatures. Head caps are required and can be bought on reception for 4 € each. We had our breakfast included. During the days where there were enough guests, rich and varied options were available. As people got reduced, they asked us at night before to choose food from a menu. No desperdice. Perfect! We didn't eat at restaurant, but it smelled very well during the initial days and they offer some nice combinations at a relatively high price level (this seems to be inherent to the region), but we are not really enabled to evaluate this point. Rooms were clean on arrival. In bathroom there is a heating device which allows hanging and drying of bath towels. Very nice as this small detail is often neglected at hotels. As the bungalows are placed on a steep hill, it is adequate more for a bit sporty people. Access by road is also steep but asphalted and reachable by standard vehicles. We are planning to return to Peneda-Gerês (under better weather conditions) and would certainly consider to stay at Pousadela again.

Be careful which room you book as some are on a separate site to the restaurant and the turn off the main road/drive up to the hotel is a little challenging

Stunning hillside location, the infinity pool looking out over the mountains and the lake at sunset was just amazing, view from the outdoor terrace tables was the same. Room was a full self catered apartment with kitchen/dining area/sofa then bedroom/bathroom and balcony. Plenty of parking space. Really wonderful staff, friendly, helpful and accommodating. 10/10 would recommend and would visit again.

They say - "it is human to err"... But, definitely, if you want to have a real rest - both mental and physical - you won't err if you visit " Pousabela village" аnd stay there for a week... First, you'll be really pleased by kind and benevolent reception - the stuff is very friendly; you'll enjoy delicious homemade meals in " Pousabela" restaurant; the spacious apartments are equipped with everything you need in everyday life. But the main thing you will taste and never forget - astonishing and really striking VIEW OF THE HIGHLANDS: silent river and green trees below you - and almost absolute silence around you... Try it - you'll not be disappointed!

There is a construction area right next to the hotel (I think it’s the hotel adding rooms) and it was noisy. All the extra services were quit expensive, and the truth is that it feels that the hotel charging for thing they should have provide (dishwasher tables, we got less than the days we stayed and they charged for extras).

The location and the view was exceptional. The room is big, clean and well equipped. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our vacation there and would love to come again.

Staff ignorance regarding the tracking options in the reservation - could at least offer maps and direct you to good links for track selection. No daily cleaning.

A beautiful view over the range of mountains in front and the valley 2 hundred meters below. Relatively close to a city (Braga - 45 min) as well as to the reservation (30-90 min, depending on which part) In nature: quiet and relaxing. Spacious rooms. A very good in-house restaurant for dinner.

I liked everything. Impossible not to.

Everything was perfect, from the place itself to the workers. Waking up in the morning with that view and then all the facilities makes you feel amazing. As a couple with a baby of 7 months, everyone helped from breakfast to dinner. To any request, I always had a quick reply from the place. The indoor pool is amazing to go with small baby/kids. Breakfast. From sweet to salty things, from eggs on request or just vegetables, there is for every taste. Same room, but as a restaurant, one of the best octopus I ate in my life. Every time I went there the food was marvelous. To come back for sure.

We found accessing some of the spa ammenties to be confusing, wished it was possible to borrow, or make available shower caps for guests. We would have liked to use the indoor pool/jacuzzi but did not have shower caps and so were unable to.

We really enjoyed the beauty of this property and the incredible restaurant. It was a small house and was so comfortable! We enjoyed having places to sit and relax inside and outside. Given that there is not much nearby (not to walk to) it was helpful to have breakfast is included and you can eat in the restaurant in the evenings. The food was excellent and we ate there both nights of our stay. Wish it has been warmer because the outdoor infinity pool is incredible, and the spaces are thoughtfully designed and decorated. The staff was exceptional.

Incredible location, one of the best views in Gerês. Infinity pool overlooking the mountains and river. The house is extremely comfortable, clean, quiet and well equipped for families. Also you can park your car next to the houses. The amenities are a plus (luxury brand Castelbel), towels are impeccably clean, fluffy and personalised. Nice food and staff at the Restaurant. Overall friendly and polite staff.
