How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It didn’t have a kettle to make tea in the room. We could get hot water from the restaurant but it was warm water out of a coffee machine which wasn’t nice.
Staff were very helpful. The bed was large and very comfortable. The linen was very good quality. The shower was strong.

It would be nice to have a kettle & teacups in the room to make tea although the hotel was happy to provide a pot of boiling water when we asked. There is a coffee machine in the room though. Although the hotel is reasonably central it is a bit of an uphill hike back at the end of the day!! And currently there are building works alongside which didn’t bother us but if you were wanting to rest during the day might be an issue.
The breakfast was excellent, eggs, fruit, cold meats and cheese, yoghurts all included. Better than the cafes we went to that were mostly pastries. The room was large, quiet and bed and pillows very comfortable. Combined bath &shower so not ideal if older or have mobility problems although it had great water pressure! Everything was very clean and well maintained. It was a short walk down to the main shopping mall area & staff helped us choose some dinner venues. A 10 minute walk to the main train station to take the metro anywhere you want. We suggest a tuk tuk ride to view the city as the old town streets too narrow for a bus. Convenient parking available across the road for a fee.

It is definitely doable to walk to the city center but it takes 15-20 minutes.
The rooms are beautiful and clean, the breakfast is good and the staff is nice.

I didn't like the fact that they want to charge you €40 for checking in earlier. It hasn't happened to me in any other hotel before. We had to wait until 3 pm and store our suitcases while the time came.
It is a modern and cozy hotel. The room has everything and is very comfortable.

Fell in love with hotel as soon as I entered. The tranquil aroma throughout the hotel gives a relaxing vibe. Rooms are spacious and modern. The colours are a spot on. An excellent selection of gluten free breakfast. Could have easily stayed a week or longer.

My balcony room faced a wall with absolutely no view. The electrical outlets worked but when they were being used to charge phones it would interfere with the TV signal.
The property is cute and clean. It is very small but sufficient. The staff is not very warm nor do they offer any suggestions for the local area.

It's a bit of a climb up a hill from the city centre, This is just a small quibble as my overall experience was fantastic

Minor gripe they ran out of English breakfast tea which was a shame but not the end of the world.
Staff were excellent, extremely friendly and helpful, great location, nice selection of food for breakfast. Overall lovely hotel would highly recommend.

There was no kettle to make tea though there was an Nespresso machine.
Liked that the hotel was central. Easy to walk to attractions. Bed was comfortable. Hotel quiet. Reception staff lovely.

The bath doesn’t work properly, the water kept draining away, and asked to fix the issue in the morning but it wasn’t fixed when we came back to the hotel.

There was very little space near sink. So If you have a lot of accessories it may be a challenge.
Really nice hotel and in a good area. Good breakfast and nice common area.

Property is on a busy street, so it can be noisy.
Hotel is lovely and very new. Facilities are very good and the breakfast is amazing. Locationwise is pretty close to the center and you can reach walking, And staff is very friendly and helpful

Everything was great.
I liked the design of the hotel. The Family Room was very spacious with a big balcony. The bed was confortable. Also a good location. The breakfast was very good as well. The room was very clean.

There was no iron to press my own clothes, so I had to pay €41 for the hotels laundry service.I found that to be a con. Every hotel I have ever stayed at has access to an iron. So this was particularly disappointing since I had been travelling around Spain and Portugal for several weeks, so an iron would have saved me a lot of anxiety and money.
