Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWe stayed in number 6, a one bedroom cottage. It was so damp that we needed to keep a dehumidifier going when we were inside the cottage. The pillows had lumpy polyester fillings, the saucepan handles were wonky, no kettle, the wash basin in the shower room was minuscule. We booked the accommodation on the basis that we could use the bikes and gym, as advertised. The bikes were in a very poor state, brakes failing, dirty, and rusty. The gym was mainly used by an instructor and outside clients. We felt the marketing on the website was misleading. Unfortunately, the price was too high for what was delivered. On the plus side, the cleaners were very thorough and a broken boiler was repaired quickly.

IsraelThis was one of the most disappointing vacations my husband and I have had. In their advertisements here, they show a variety of rooms in the pictures and such nice comfortable apartments with a large space, but this is not what we've got. I've done this booking a month in advance and also chatted with them and asked to reserve a specific room (with a sofa, space, separated bedroom, and kitchen) as seen in the pictures here. They approved the specific one and said they will reserve it for us. When we got there, they placed us in a tiny room with a bed only and no space to move! We told them that this is not what they show in their photos and that we've never booked such a room and also showed the receptionist the correspondence and photos. She said she'll check with the manager but of course - no one came to talk to us. How amazing the customer service is - No one cares! Luckily it was only a 2 days booking. They charged us 60 EUR per night for this ridiculous room. Oh, and they wanted an extra "tourist tax" of 10 EUR for a person. It doesn't make sense that you see something online and then you get something totally different! How could they give us a room that is not even listed in their pictures on booking.com?
