This is one of the first times I have nothing to complain about. Everything was just perfects starting with the hospitality of the staff, the amazing stone built apartment, the view from the balcony - staying here was a shear joy.

Staff was very helpful and accommodating. They made our stay feel special. The included port and wine was great and we really enjoyed the museum tour. The room was comfortable and had an amazing view from the porch.

Sofia welcomed us as we drove onto the property. All the staff was very welcoming and helpful. The house we stayed in was perfect for our family of 4. The kitchen with open hearth was very unique and added fun to our night. The balcony had a beautiful view. The property has a wine museum and tastings available. Lamego was a short drive away with dining. Breakfast was nicely laid out and was very substantial with lots of options and local fair. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We were in the 2 bedroom home overlooking the vineyard. Gorgeous tastefully modernized old stone home. Provided with a choice of wines to have. Amazing diverse delicious cold breakfast. Huge fireplace in our accommodation ready to light. So nice. Sofia helped us with absolutely anything we might ask or need and gave us a tour of their winery museum for free. We loved it here. Very comfortable.

There was nothing that I didn’t like but to stay here you need a car and it was a bit hard to find.

This was a good place to stay. It had a lovely view and you could walk on the estate. There was a small museum about the history of wine/port making at the Quinta. Staff were lovely. We were served a beautiful breakfast laid out just for the two of us. It was near enough to Lamego to drive in for dinner..

We loved everything about it! The most friendly and helpful staff that will do everything to make us feel welcome and pleased, the apartment was wonderful, and also the breakfast and the farm itself. The location is very convenient for exploring the area of the Douro valley. We also recommend the tour in the farms museum.

The most satisfactory accommodation in Portugal, and here it makes me want to visit the Douro Valley again. I went to the wrong accommodation with the same name near Pinhão, but thanks to the kind Beatriz, I was able to find Regua safely. Thank you so much to Beatriz for making our stay even more lovely!! Omly a mistake was that we only booked for one night. Worth a multi-day stay.

Fantastic property. Beautiful and tastefully decorated. We had the four bedroom house and it was luxurious ! Wonderful breakfast in the morning, after which we got a tour of the museum and walked around the property and it was beautiful. Wish we had booked for longer than a day - just staying in the house would be worth the relaxation. 100% recommend it for families

Spotless sheets & towels with embroidered logo on comfortable beds fit for royals. House is huge complete with quality vintage furnishings topped with awesome view of the estate vineyard & Lamego region. Kitchen is big with full range of good equipment and ample wares enough to hold a gathering. None of the furnishing feels staged for tourists. The breakfast was prepared, laid & timed meticulously for the best freshness. 16 hectares of vineyard are neatly trimmed like a Royal French garden. Icing on the cake were the friendly owners and Beatriz who made our stay memorable. Beatriz has in-depth knowledge and insights about the estate history, wine making and was very approachable. All requests are attended swiftly even during her off-days. Thank you Beatriz, Cristina & his hubby for making our Lamego the highlight of our Portugal tour.

Nothing really. Note that the lodging is in an older building.

The setting of this Quinta is spectacular with sweeping views of the river and vineyards all Around. Staff was fantastic. Totally recommend doing their tasting and tour on site. Well situated for touring the rest of the Douro. Owners are very generous with the port wine!

Stop looking and just book this place with confident. It has an amazing view best location spot away from crowds but not far from historical city center. Comfortable bed wonderful service. Everything is top notch. Unless you want to stay in a four wall box hotel then be my guest. We stayed for 3 nights and still couldn’t get enough of the beauty watching sunrise from your own terrace. I can go on and on. Beatrice and Rui are so wonderful they made sure we were comfortable and happy with service. Also be sure you do wine tasting with them.

We loved everything! The wine tasting, the view, the house we stayed in, the excellent hospitality, and the amazing breakfast!! The place was very easy to get to, and close to Lamego which was great. We regret only staying one night! google will want you going up a small road that doesn’t lead to the accommodation

We were happily surprised by the location and accommodation at Quinta da Portela.. my husband and I stayed in the smaller section which was 2 bedrooms with a lounge area balcony and large kitchen which still had the original stove .. our accommodation was renovated and very comfortable with a view over the vineyard .. we were made to feel very welcome to wander the property and it was full of fruit trees walnuts almonds and olive trees hidden amongst the vines .. the staff were exceptional and very accommodating and breakfast the following morning was a feast of produce made on the farm plus a personal smorgasbord.. we were both amazed by the presentation and quality .. we would definitely stay here again and recommend others to .. a thank you to all the staff

It is a little dark in the kinchen, especialy for those who have to cook (we had to, because it is a little bit difficult to go to restaurant with two-year-old twins :-)).

Old cozy house among the vineyards with a wonderfull view. Large territory, walks with children through the vineyards. For dreakfast - special thanks to the staff!

Guests need to know that there are daily winetastings open to the public which occur on the property so it is not entirely private, however these stopped at a reasonable hour.

The 4 bedroom house is very spacious and the antique furniture is top quality. The open patio overlooking the vineyard was a lovely place to enjoy a glass of wine and the view. Betrix was very helpful, enthusiastic and kind. Loved the dogs and cats.
