Our bed and pillows were really uncomfortable, to the point we struggled to get to sleep every night. We’d stay in a different room next time for a nicer bathroom.

Jose & Sarah the owners were so lovely and welcoming! The property is located just outside of Tavira which was a short, easy car journey away. The whole property was exceptionally clean and beautifully designed, very relaxing environment with friendly staff.

The jacuzzi bath in the room was out of order and the shower in the bath was ok but not as good as a walk in shower. My recommendation would be to replace the bath with a large rain shower

There are so many things to love about this property. We stayed in the Master Suite in Casa des Artes and it was spacious for the 2 of us and our 14 year old son. It was immaculately cleaned each day. The breakfast was excellent - amazing home made cakes and Portuguese egg tarts and wonderful fresh fruit. The swimming pool was a good size allowing lane swimming which is a big plus for me as I swim regularly and hotel pools are often very disappointing. Jose and Sara were fantastic hosts - nothing too much trouble. We had an issue with our booking which was resolved very satisfactorily. Finally the location was perfect allowing us to explore the coast and nearby towns each day. I would highly recommend the Quinta to anyone looking for a very special place to stay. We hope to visit again in the future. Thank you Sara and Jose

The property is a very short drive from the town, situated in beautiful well maintained grounds. The main house is excellently and tastefully decorated and maintained with small details making the stay feel like quality.

The property is in a very quiet and charming atmosphere, surrounded by vegetation. The rooms are comfortable, clean and nice. The quinta is managed by a charming couple that are always there to help.

One of the best places in tavira! the gardens are beautiful looks like a Tuscany farm, we only hear the birds… breakfast it’s amazing everything is homemade and stuff try always to satisfy our requests. I recommend suite Gold, it’s so romantic! everything is perfectly clean! by the way I loved the mattresses!! I hope to visit you soon! congrats!

The only thing to point out would be the fragility of the shower in our Cabin, as water leaked quite easily.

Quinta de Santa Margarida is a beautiful and peaceful place, we found it very pleasant and as a couple, very romantic. Location-wise it’s great! The breakfast was also incredible and very fresh, with a big variety of things to choose from. The staff was always very accommodating, nice, and helpful.

The breakfast we chose was fresh fruits and yoghurts , eggs Juice and coffe. There were full options for cooked and also cereals also The fruit platter was beautifully prepared each day with about 7 varieties. The eggs were boiled perfectly to suit our requests.

What’s there not to like?

Quinta de Santa Margarida for sure was the greatest discovery of 2023! This place is absolutely gorgeous! The Quinta itself is very spacious. You have a beautiful garden surrounding the rooms, with a lot of nooks for you to chill and enjoy the lovely weather of Algarve. It’s a gated area, which makes you feel safe at all times. You can walk freely without any worry that a stranger will come through. There’s an amazing salted water pool and a smaller one for the kids. More than enough for the 15 rooms/suites. The suite that I’ve chosen (Terrace) was absolutely gorgeous. Very spacious, nicely arranged, we’ll decorated and impeccably clean at all times. It has all the main necessities for a nice staying in Algarve. The breakfast was very nice! A lot of options and variety, plus, the owners were always very sweet with any special needs for the guests ! You may ask for almost anything (lactose free, vegan etc) they would always try to accommodate your needs and requirements. Last but not least, for sure the owners and the staff were lovely too! I have to say that it is for sure a nice breeze of fresh air to see two people so dedicated to their guests. Always very present and helpful with any necessities of mine. They have the best recommendations for this area of Algarve when it comes to restaurants, places to visit and activities to do. Besides all that, they were always very easily contacted. The rest of the staff were delightful, always super nice and sweet to everyone. Truly recommend this place, it’s an hidden gem in Tavira!

It couldn’t have been any better!

Everything about this property was wonderful! We extended our stay as we truly loved this boutique resort... Jose and his staff go above and beyond for their guests.... Excellent location as close to Tavira, but out of town and very quiet... We would not change a thing, and highly recommend this property

Nothing to dislike.

Sarah and Jose are superb hosts. The property is beautiful. We had lovely fresh breakfasts in wonderful surroundings. Our room was very comfortable. Everything was well maintained and clean. There are exceptional beaches only a short drive from the property and Tavira town is very close with its wonderful restaurants.

Fantastic location... so peaceful but also very close to the beautiful town of Tavira. Rooms were immaculately clean and very comfortable. Jose and the staff were terrific and very helpful with any requests. Breakfast provided was great. Would highly recommend this for some quiet luxury.

We loved everything!!

Sara & José did everything to make our stay as comfortable & wonderful as possible. The breakfast & lunches were delicious…the pool and gardens were beautiful….our family room was a good size & had 2 large balconies and was always kept clean… the location was only a 10 minute taxi ride to the centre of Tavira…. the kittens in the garden were adorable!! The whole atmosphere was calm & relaxing. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Great breakfast, lovely location in the countryside yet very close to Tavira. Fabulous room (cabana) and a lovely relaxed informal vibe made this a super getaway for us and Jose and Sara were really great hosts.V v highly recommended

Nothing. Everything was absolutely perfect.

Breakfast was 10/10, Jose and Sara go out of their way to make it perfect and delicious. Variety of eggs, meats, cheese, cereals. Much more than a continental breakfast. It was a special way to start every morning. The property was perfectly groomed, new and done with beautiful taste. It was a calm and peaceful place to spend 5 days with amazing access to Tavira and the beautiful beaches nearby. Sara and Jose were always available for recommendations on beaches, restaurants and went out of their way to help us get a last minute rental car. We enjoyed some beautiful wine and the snacks they prepared were always special and above what we asked for. The visit and the hosts were so enjoyable we cannot wait to come back!
