Beautiful property with the great views of the valley. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The owners/hosts of the hotel are very kind and made their best to make our stay more comfortable. Would definitely be back.

Nothing. Get the dinner as well as it is quite a drive through very narrow, twisty, and hilly roads coming and going from the Quinta. Dinner was amazing finished with one of their 30 year Tawny ports. No sacrifice whatsoever.

Beautifully restored former winery overlooking the Douro Valley. Splendidly and passionately redone by the couple who own it with get attention to detail throughout. Extremely personable, inviting and friendly. Splendid dinner with vintage wines made at the winery and food grown on the property or by local farmers. Only booked one night but wished we had stayed longer.

Excellent environment, with a very interesting mystique surrounded by fantastic landscape and surrounded by vineyards All the details were carefully thought out by the owners, the entire history of the farm is represented in every corner of the house and spaces. Kindness from the owners and care and pride for each guest. They have a beautiful infinity pool, which is a pleasure to explore further. Each room has a theme and theme related to the history of the farm. Excellent cleaning and hygiene service Very well achieved architecture between past and present. Without a shadow of a doubt, an excellent experience to be repeated from now on.

The decor of the house and bedrooms, facilities are ver recent. The hot water indoor pool, the staff specially João and the owners are very welcoming. Possibility of having a massage and other treatments . I recommend the massage. Location is great to visit wine farms around.

Quinta de Travassinhos is a magical place in the Douro Valley with beautiful views, outstanding ambiance and exceptional hospitality. Helena & Ricardo have painstakingly restored and renovated the property into something rare and special where modern amenities and comfort meet the beauty of a working farm and vineyard. Their kindness and attention to customer service is world class, and is matched by their knowledge of the history of the area and willingness to share the stories of their journey to create their dream. While my partner and I were there, we enjoyed morning hikes through the vineyards, daily trips to regional towns, afternoon dips in the indoor salt water spa pool, and evening dinners where our hosts and staff provided upscale-rustic regional cuisine, local wines and port, and wonderful conversation with both hosts and guests. This will be somewhere we will hopefully be able to revisit in the coming years as it truly is one of our favourites of all time!

This was the most comfortable and accommodating lodging my family has ever stayed at. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, exploring the property, swimming in the indoor pool, the gourmet meals, our beautiful room, and the amazing hospitality at this family owned property. We booked this Quinta based on high reviews and because they were welcoming to our 7 year old child. Highly recommended!

Only downside for us was that the indoor pool has no lounge/relaxation area, it’s only the pool itself. A detail to note is that there are stairs to go up to the rooms and there is no lift - however the rooms in the top floor allow you to park your car just outside the room door (it has a separate entrance besides the main door to the house).

Amazing suite, with comfortable huge bed, great walkin shower, cosy lighting. Great selection of cheese for breakfast and amazing croissants and bread. Fresh orange juice. The owners are delightful, very welcoming and available. Very close to Peso da Régua where you can find amazing restaurants.

We arrived by car and found Quinta de Travassinhos with the aid of Google maps. The only difficulty was the narrow curving roads leading to the facility but well worth the drive upon arrival.

This was a beautiful, newly renovated building. The owners were welcoming and did everything possible to make our stay pleasant. Breakfast was outstanding! We stayed three nights and had dinner at Quinta de Travassinhos two of the nights. Service and food was great and a good value.

We had the pleasure to recently stay at this beautiful property. Helena, Ricardo and Joao are incredibly kind people that made our stay very special. Ricardo and Helena have created something very incredible with this property. When explaining the history of the property to us, Ricardo mentioned that he wanted the guests to feel like home. This is what we genuinely felt. The property itself is amazingly renovated, clean, comfortable, and decorated tastefully. The views, especially from the pool are outstanding and the food is home-cooked and tasty. However, the genuine kindness of the operators and staff is what makes it unique and sets this accommodation apart from many other properties. We would definitely return on a future visit to the Douro region.

There’s nothing I could complain about, I would never have left quinta do Travassinhos if I could and I really hope we will come back again one day.

Quinta de Travassinhos is a beautiful estate in Douro Valley, where literally everything is thought to make the guests feel like home, but like if your home was a stunning huge historical house in the wineyards of a beautiful valley, with a spa and an infinity pool with a breathtaking view. During our staying, Ricardo and his wife together with the tireless Joao have been great host, but above all they are beautiful people: they gave us precious suggests about our trip, they were always available to our requests, but also to a friendly talk, and last but not least, they disposed every day a really great breakfast and dinner with a charming atmosphere thanks also to the wonderful dining room they have.

The owners are very humble and friendly, loved them! I definitely recommend it for the place, value and services provided! The views are just amazing and the atmosphere as well, very beautifully decorated made by the owners! I recommend watching the sunrise from the poolside, it’s a breathtaking view!
