Honestly… if your dates are available do not hestitate. We LOVED everything about staying at QBV. Such a lovely place made even better by Sam and Richard and their incredible hospitality. We’ll be dreaming about our stay for years to come and hope we are able to return one day soon.

Super location, about 5-7 minutes by car to Obidos. The view from our room was very nice. The hosts are fabulous people that makes your stay exceptional, small attentions that make all the difference. The rooms are well decorated. The fridge is full of little suprprises… just perfect. Nice beaches to drive to. Will definitely go back.

No puedo decir nada que no me gustase.

Actually, is difficult to say that something was special because all has been awesome. Sam and Rich are incredible. How no remembering that fantastic warm breakfast arriving early in the morning. The apartments has everything you can need during your vacation days. every single detail. I absolutely recommend this place, is like being in la little village. I do not repeat, normally, the place for vacations but, in this case, we are completely sure we will come back.

The greatest place we ever stayed We visited a lot of place already, small air bnb to 5 stars hotels and a Quinta do Bom Vento it’s definitely the best of all of them. The place is very clean, really warmly decorated (not just a plain white wall with a frame from primark) with full of smalls details that make, everywhere you look so cute But none of it could be this great without Sam and Rich! They are wonderful, nice really friendly without be annoying or intrusive. If you want to talk them are happy to speak with you but if you are in a rush they won’t disturb you. They are honestly kind (it was my mom birthday we didn’t said anything, they just saw it on the id. On the day, they just came in the morning before we go out, with delicious homemade cakes and a bottle of champagne!!!). They can give you really good advice of what to visit around (thanks again for Buddha’s garden it was spectacular) and if you need something they will do their best to help you and they give you an amazing welcome ! So you can choose this place without hesitation you will be in good hands. We definitely gonna go back so much we loved it! As I told them we have some expectations when we book a place and most of the time we are ok but they went much higher than those expectations and so we had a wonderful family trip Thanks again Sam and Rich ! The only thing we didn't like was that we stayed only 3 nights. Next time we will stay longer!

I will join all the other posiitve reviews and say that we LOVED everything about our stay at Quinta do Bom. We had the 2 bedroom unit and everything about it was great. Sam and Rich provided everything you can imagine--incredible groceries, a fully stocked kitchen that we used to cook meals, books, games, beach equipment. The property is so lovely and the area is beautiful. Reminded me a bit of the wine growing areas of California where we are from. The old town of Obidos, a short drive from the property is magical.

It’s perfect.

We received a lovely welcome and the hosts were always about to assist. The casa is very well provisioned and the owners left us lots of food and goodies. It has a great terrace, full kitchen and good living space. Just exceptional!

A three night stay at this gem was not enough!

As soon as we arrived, we felt comfortable and welcomed. Sam and Richard are so friendly, kind, thoughtful and generous. We were amazed by the amount of food and drinks they provided for us - enough for all of our breakfasts, and lunches, as well as the first dinner of our stay. Sam’s delivery of a package of warm bread and pastries one morning made us feel so spoiled. We stayed in the Pacific unit with its beautiful old world charm and loved our outdoor spaces. The peace and quiet, as well as the scenery of Quinta do Bom Vento make it an easy place to settle into. The landscaping on the property is very pretty with lots of gorgeous succulents, flowering shrubs, fruit trees and my new favourite tree, the stone pine. The surrounding area was also great to explore with beautiful drives through surrounding vineyards and orchards. We especially enjoyed our daytrip to Tomar and our beach walk near the town of Foz do Arelho. We stayed in four different places during our stay in Portugal, all wonderful in their own way. My husband and I both agreed that Quinta do Bom Vento was our favourite of the four.

We liked everything!

SAM and Rich are the ultimate hosts! This is more of a Bed-and-Breakfast than a hotel or AirBNB. Starting with a fully stocked kitchen including fruits and vegetables, wine and cheese, and more, exceptional local recommendations, beautiful views, and relationships with other guests, Quinto do Bom Vento far exceeds expectations. It's truly a home away from home.

Perfect, nothing not to like!

We loved the rural location and waking up to beautiful views over the valley. Sam and Rich, our hosts made us feel super welcome and are truly amazing people. They went above and beyond anything we have ever come across before on our travels. They kindly bought us freshly baked local breads (still hot out of the oven) and cakes/pastries during out stay. We were also amazed by our well stocked fridge on arrival, which meant that we didn't need to shop straight away, from fresh fruits, yoghurts, cheeses and meats, to wine, beer and eggs. A truly hidden gem. Thank-you so much and we look forward to returning for a second visit as soon as we can.

Super friendly hosts, nice and private house with own terrace and bbq place with nice view (that was house with one bedroom). An amazing place, quiet and peaceful, yet with easy access to the coast and interesting places to visit. Our hosts gave us such a warm welcome and were on hand to give us helpful tips during our stay. The accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable, had everything we needed, and we were given a very generous hamper of food on arrival.

The flies. Which are common in any region of Portugal, and besides, the house had electric insecticide, which helped.

This review was written by my wife: I believe that any word I use to say how was the experience of spending 5 days at Quinta do Bom Vento will not be enough to describe how wonderful it was. First of all, as soon as we arrived in the region of the Quinta we were amazed at the beauty of nature that exists in the valley, and at the beauty of seeing the producers/farmers growing such perfect fruit in the region. As we got out of the car we came across a sign, written "Welcome Rafael, Patricia and Lucie", Lucie is our 4 month old puppy. At this moment I almost cried with the kindness of the welcome provided by Richard and Sam. However, it did not stop there. We also received a Welcome Kit that would shock anyone: a fridge full of fresh vegetables, cold beer, white wine (of the best quality), jams produced by the owners of the farm, bread, and of course fruit from the farm (the pears are wonderful! You have to try them). And the most delicate of all, Lucie also had her Welcome Kit - snacks that she loved! The Quintinha (that's how they call the accommodations), super private and well lit, was very clean and equipped with all the essential items for those who love to cook (from the corkscrew, to three types of grater, mixer, cupcake moulds, three types of dinner sets, spices, iron pots...); The bathroom was full of amenities (from cotton swabs to cleaning wipes for glasses, and even make-up remover), top quality towels and, the highlight of the bathroom, a shower with excellent pressure; The room, which was an excellent size, had several closets to store our items, very soft sheets and a comfortable bed. The living room, my favorite area, had a splendid view of the valley, a wonderful balcony where we spent most of the day, and the most fun: board games, which disconnected us from our online life and made me and my husband have fun and connected even more.

We weren’t there long enough to eat all of the treats that were provided for us.

When you travel a lot, exceptional properties get your attention. This is one of those. A gorgeously repurposed farm and winery with multiple outbuildings, our Mediterranean Room had everything. Great views, lovely deck, well supplied and well appointed kitchen, comfy bed, and awesome shower. However wonderful the physical property is, SAM and Rich, who are the forces of nature behind this fabulous place, are even more wonderful. They are comfortably present, know the area so well, and have gone many extra miles to make sure you love being at their place. Stop reading this review. If you can get a booking at Quinta Bom Vento, book it now before someone else gets your reservation.

Very difficult to find fault about anything and we are normally very selective in our comments!

The overall size of the rooms /outside space was ample for our requirements. Rustic style very much suited to the property whilst the welcome goodies hamper was also much appreciated!
