The wine that they are selling is way too old. It looks like they are stuck with their bottles. Just avoid those old bottles.

This hotel has lovely views and modern clean rooms. On arrival we had a beer on the patio and were greeted by Jonathon and his mate. The staff were very helpful and we had an excellent meal. Breakfast was very good all in all a very good stay.

There was not alot I didn't like... Maybe just a bit more service to the customer. Such as acsess to drinks etc when by the pool and a small tea coffee service in the room....

The place is. Beautiful, and a great location close to Viseu and 1:30hr from porto... Receptionist was very good and new alot about the area.... Pool was fantastic to come back to after a hot day out... The wine is also very good.

The Hotel exceeded my expectations; a wonderful place to stay and enjoy the countryside. It is a short drive from Viseu. I had dinner at the Hotel to taste their wines, which was amazing.

unfortunately we got a room that wasn’t very comfortable. It was noisy and small. we noticed that it wasn’t perfectly clean and the AC didn’t work. also it was really disappointing that the checkout time was at 11am which I personally never experienced. we asked if after leaving the room at the checkout time we could at stay at the pool but that wasn’t an option. a pity because this hotel had so much to give.

the outside area was beautiful, the farm and the pool area. we loved that part!

Bathroom in our room was facing the parking area, and the window was covered by a fabric curtain. The curtain was somewhat transparent and at night (when it's dark outside and lights are on inside) we had to cover the window with towels to keep our privacy when using the bathroom.

Location - peaceful, surrounded by nature, gorgeous views. Hotel building itself - beautiful restored stone house on a rocky hill Pool - good size, pleasant salty water, with a shallow division for small kids Hotel staff - polite and friendly Room - large, clean, well equipped Restaurant - mixed feelings - a clear attempt to offer a gourmet dining experience with many hits and some misses. We had a Magret de Canard (great!), a lamb chop with risotto (very nice recipe, the meat chop was rather small, but with a lot of tasty risotto); for dessert a Panna Cotta had no sugar in or on it (except for grated coconut), but we were not sure if it was by design or by mistake. We were offered a complimentary glass of rosé, which was very good. However, when we later ordered more wine by glass, the servings were rather small (less than 100ml by my estimate). We solved it by ordering a full bottle on our next meal (which was delicious).

We like a firm mattress, and this mattress was a softer style.

The location was terrific - very convenient to Viseu but with an away-from-it-all feel. Fairly convenient to Vouzela as well. Breakfast was very good. A small thing but the sliced tomatoes were quite nice. The staff were very helpful and did well with our very limited Portuguese and their rather good English.

Wonderful peaceful location. Close to Viseu and accessible to wide range of unspoilt countryside. Attractive converted farm buildings. Brilliant pool. Excellent breakfasts. Very helpful staff.
