The apartment is in a perfect location with amazing views! Although it is a busy area, we never heard noise when the windows were closed. Our neighbors were very quiet.

This charming apartment was very spacious, well equipped and was in a perfect location on the river. We were grateful to have the Red House to come home to after a long day of sightseeing. The washing machine was also a bonus! Rosa, our host, was extremely helpful and met us to show us around the apartment and offer advice for things to do in the area including arranging tours.

A few maintenance issues with washing machine and hot water. Rosa was very responsive which reduced the inconvenience. Steep stairs, just be sure you are able to climb stairs.

Great location. Good windows ensure you don’t hear street noise, which is great.

Very nice, clean appartment furnished with good taste, assuring full comfort. Great wiew from the windows + a cosy small terrace behind, the building, with calming sound of cooling spring water. Situated at the level of the river, it is easy to cross to Gaia's wine cellars. For getting to the city center, one has to climb up stairs (or take the funicular or bus, with stop at 50 m.) Very kind owner, keen to give good advises for the journey. I can only recommend it to everybody.

The location was convenient, basically close to major attractions by Taxi (Bolt, Uber). Perfect view of Luís I Bridge, Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar and the Douro river. The host was very caring and did guided us during the check in, recommended some quick insights about Porto.

Fantastic little studio. With the best location and view. All the necessities are available (coffee machine, stocked fridge with drinks, iron machine, hairdryer...). A great welcome and a lot of handy tips and must visit spots. She is super friendly and helpful. 10/10 ! I would definately book here again.

These are definitely not game changers for choosing this beautiful apartment but worth noting incase it matters more to others. 1. The bathroom and extra toilet are bit of a walk (through the kitchen but there is a movement sensor light) from the master bedroom. 2. The temperature display on the aircon unit is SO bright it lights up the whole room at night. 3. You can hear the upstairs guests walking across the floor. It did wake me up when the other guests came home late.

The location was just magical, the bed comfortable, we didn’t use the kitchen as we were there for such a short stay but it looked well equipped. The cafe to the right was good for a coffee and nata to start the day and the restaurant Abolino to the right perfect for a dinner or a port and cheese platter to end the evening! Rosa was so helpful. Will definitely come back!

Perfect location, very nice space, very clean, and incredibly good views of the River and Porto. Having a living room and kitchen and Bedroom was better than a hotel room. So many options nearby for dining and walking , as well as a funicular tram to take you to the top of the hill just a block away.

Pillows are too firm, which hurts the neck a bit. Could use softer ones.

Best location in Porto, a stone’s throw from the river and great restaurants. Rosa was so helpful - met us at the house and gave us excellent recommendations and even made reservations for us. Red House was her childhood family home and she cares for it as such.

Fantastic location right on the river with easy access to both sides of the river. Great view from front windows, and a nice quiet and cool outside area at rear. Rosa met us on arrival, introduced us to property, and provided some helpful recommendations. Was a very warm welcome.

It was very difficult to modify our booking from two guests to 4, but it did get resolved in the end. I also asked for a set of twin beds in one room and that was not done, but we made it work as well.

Red house on the river was an exceptional choice for our four days in Porto. We enjoyed the view out the window every moment we were there. Rosa was kind enough to give us tips and advice and always responded to texts. We loved the location,it was perfect.

Wonderful views along the River front, and across to Gaia. We could walk to all the local sights and when we shut the windows it was very quiet. Rosa, our host helped us with dinner recommendations, and tour reservations. Highly recommend this property.

The clothes hanger could be upgraded and not being able to just drop our bags inside before check in although the owner gave us another option close by that cost money.

The property was clean, perfect location and had everything we needed. Nice touches around the property like lovely art work and tiles.

Parking in Porto is always a challenge. We were lucky to find a spot out front. Not a complaint on the place, but just a reality of travel in Europe if you are renting a car. Be prepared to park and walk. Easy to drop bags at curb and then park (Not needing to drag bags through city) since property was on a street.

The Red House By The River was a fantastic place to stay in Porto. Rosa met us personally and spent time to not only show us the place, but to give guidance for the city. The accommodations were perfect for a good size group if you have children or 2 couples. We stayed on the 2nd floor. Windows and doors are updated so it was quiet space. Overall, extremely happy with the Red House and it would be hard to find better accommodations.

Great location, walking distance to all facilities and Rosa, the host was very friendly and welcoming and offered plenty of advice as to what to see

The property was in an ideal location in the middle of the city with double glazed windows for sound proofing. Out of all the apartments we stayed in Rosa, our host was the only one to meet us on site and offered plenty of advice of where to visit and what the attractions are, she also arranged for our luggage to be transported up to the second level apartment.
