When I arrived at the accommodation, The host Antonio ,offered me Tea,Coffee or a Beer. He was very welcoming ...it has good facilities five minutes walk from the centre, It was very clean and comfortable bed, Ideal for The Camino.

A better heater would be useful since the dampness of Tomar can get into the bones

Great host, and very knowledgeable about Tomar and its surroundings. My only comment was that the room felt at times cold even though a small heater was provided. Otherwise great location.

Could be a bit hot in summer as the top floor rooms are directly under the roof.

The host was a wonderfully friendly man who couldn't do enough to help us. He is well versed in many topics but is a mine if information on Tomar and its importance in Portugese history. He even looked after our car for a few days while we went to Lisbon. The hostel is well appointed and there are interesting decorative touches throughout. Close to everything.

Well situated close to the station, walking distance from the sights. Loved the rustic finish especially the wooden floors and ceilings. The host was very nice and helpful, explained the sights around.

Everyone in the hostel has to share one mini bar fridge. The large fridge in the kitchen is only for the owner. I personally don't think it is enough. The bathroom was tight. You also had to hold the shower head (there was no wall mount) which made hair washing annoying.

Only little thing, in our room the shower didn't have the support to hold it up, so washing long hair was a little challenging. But it's only a minor details, no complaints at all.

Very peculiar place, the host was very kind and the overall mood was very welcoming and relaxing. It is just out of downtown,which is great as there is a lot of parking. The host suggested what to see and where to eat, and even share some tips for our upcoming trip.

The only thing that was a bit of a downfall was that the bedroom was very hot and there wasn't (as far as I could tell) an AC only a fan which did not provide a lot of cool air. But other than that I cannot think of a reason not to stay here.

This place was very good! We stayed here for two nights and it was great. The kitchen was very good and the residence was close to the city centre. Would definately recommend staying here when you're in Tomar. The host was very kind and even told us about the history of Tomar which was great!

The shower curtain let the water come out. The area surrounding the hostel is not great.

The room was big and clean with bunk beds, which kids love. There is a bakery just around the corner for breakfast.

- Soundproofing is not really good. That is okay if you are a heavy sleeper, but otherwise you may be easily woken up. - Unfortunately, breakfast was not available the day I stayed there, but apparently that was an unusual, one-off situation. Still, the property should have let us know in advance, even though the breakfast was charged separately (and so, naturally, I was not charged for it).

the property was lovely, clean, comfortable and possessed an interesting artistic flair! the host was a wealth of knowledge and was very accommodating. it was close to the train station and cafes and restaurants. I would highly recommend it.

Was unsure if the kitchen was openly available to guests as host didn't elaborate upon check in. The front door is immensely heavy and very difficult to open.

Just some issues with the room, which is very clean, but fairly small for two people to share, even couples. The shower has plenty of hot water but inconveniently has to be hand held. There’s barely place for toiletries and no place to hang towels. It’s kind of a spartan experience, which seems to befit the philosophically inclined owner, whose presence makes the slight inconveniences more acceptable.

Simple, inexpensive rooms very near the historical center of Tomar, a small but historically significant city. The kindly, and very knowledgeable owner of the hostel gave us a very interesting introduction to Tomar’s significance by way of a 15 minute explanation of places of importance to visit which made the stay worthwhile. There’s a nice common space and kitchen visitors are welcome to use.
